Last academic year, we commenced our journey across whole school to create awareness about the
Sustainable Development Goals 2030.
This year, we’re taking things a notch higher, as Sancta Maria is now a signatory of the ‘School
Commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals’ and therefore a member of the Global Schools
Program.
The shared global framework aims to bring an end to extreme poverty, inequality, and injustice, address
climate change, protect the environment, and encourage good governance, peace, and security by 2030.
The global initiative states that it is “essential for the future of the world that all schools play their part in
achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.” Our commitment to SDGs is underpinned by our school
values of Fairness, Respect, Integrity, Excellence, Value creation and Happiness and will further enable us
develop learners who are confident, innovative, engaged, responsible and reflective.
We, at Sancta Maria, are prepared. To move from Awareness To Action. Because we know that our students
are the future voices and future change makers of the global society we live in.
Please note: Events, exams, breaks and activities planned for the Academic Year may
change / defer based on the Covid-19 situation. We will do our best to deliver most of the
planned activities virtually or when the school reopens.
