All Agreed Campaign Organization (Aaco) shares the values of our society as
partners because we are part of the community. Our is a voluntary charitable
organisation which continues to offer hope to people living at the worst time in
the historyofthe world.Weoffer humanitarianfreeservicesthroughour minilegal
broadcast to press home for fair treatment of all human beings rather than
allowing violence protests that ruin and destroy. Part of our mission is to ensure
that high-quality reports are as widely circulated as possible, in order to support
thosein powerwith understandingof people’s needs, expectations and associated
phenomena to enable a welcoming relationship in the triad of society. We also
providepeople with pictures of reality on governmentactivities and undertakings,
and manage individual understanding to avoid reckless conscription of narratives
and promote love among the people in the society. This approach helps uncover
the-taken-for granted assumptions that often shut down potentially the
government/people relationships.
To achieve this in the most populous African nation, we underwent further
research with our first post-lockdown travel to Nigeria, to see things, experience
things and sort facts we would never have seen online. The chance to unearth a
copy of all our findings and observations withouthalf falling apartlike a precarious
mountain of news on pages of newspapers or funny attractive illustrations
2. scattered around online warehouses is our priority. It is therefore pretty much
important and appropriate using this medium to communicate our contemporary
findingsof Nigeria situations withoutrelying on the scourgeofselective censorship
and distasteful interplay of dissenting views on TV programme stories. We have
earmarkedLagos state as casestudyon this occasion. This piece of writing has also
separately produced sociotechnical newsletter that also explore potentialities of
good political work justifying associated policy trajectories in the former capital
city.
This collection is framed in part with our soon-to-be-published news magazine
‘Catalogueof AchievementsLagos-Nigeria’asa reflection of our journeyto Lagos-
Nigeria. We have resisted not giving to our peers both at home and abroad the
opportunity not to enjoy the observation in a state of transit (Lagos-state) as
recorded as part of our social movements. Moreover, we continued to pour
encomiums and highlight grey areas in an attempt to bring the best of reports,
regardless of the criticisms risks to those tasked with improving our faculty of
reasoning, weare keen not to lose face to the western and indigenous black elites
that followed us. This edition may have best summarized our survey findings,
remarkablyon intuitive plausibility, wesubmitwith utmostimportancethat not all
of the circumstances that appear in practice can be described specifically enough
in this broadcast, please enjoy it.
It is true that there are fewer mobilizations on environmental related issues by
President Muhammad Buhari led administration, and resistance to kidnapping is
weak in the North because they saw in the north avenues for such atrocities, for
the geographic location of the region is unfavorableto victims of such prohibited
conduct, unlike in the south/west where there is more of a recognition of rights
and the pressure by the states to control these territories from such felony
nuisance had paid off within the context of the present time. It is also possible to
expected clientelism and repression from the organized groups including Oodua
People Congress and Sunday Igboho led team. However, we did not expect any
indigenous leader or indigenous government’s framework to support these
movements neither do we considered these movements to be completely
disowned, exterminated or served as libation. We submit that the tension created
by all various opponents produced a flashpoint intensifying Nigeria government
character lacks Federalism, in its most basic sense.
3. It is worth noting also that within our survey experiment, respondents—including
western indigenous natives were more satisfied with the President Muhammad
Buhari led administration (in comparison with construed opprobrium against his
governmentby someverbosity blog posters). However,as with mostcomparisons
drawn throughout our secret findings the Nigeria indigenous respondents mostly
correspond to the overall national sample of our survey, with over 60 percent of
people believing that the President Buhari government rules for the overall good
rather than just for the benefit of a few. For example, we were reminded of how
the former President Olusegun Obasanjo denied Lagos state off funds that could
have helped Lagos state develop faster under Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to our Europe chief correspondent ‘Olawoyin Oladapo, reporting from
France, “the approach then was an act of imperialism, Lagos is only looking
pleasant to the eyes now, it is a stage Lagos-Nigeria should have passed scores of
years just like Singapore and Malaysia.”
Although our experiences had attracted Lagos with its beauty, the state with its
districts are a vital part of the urban experience of spectacular retails outlets and
distinctive shoppingmalls. Thegrand tour wasextensive, lasting three months, the
entire findings involve travelling to the inland, central of the state and western
parts. It is certainly not with exaggeration or cliché that Lagos State gained in our
minds an admiration of good and progressivework. However, weexperienced the
city is still plagued by misfortuneof youth touts and streets unchains (Twales), we
recorded a fairly few in what appeared to be an impoverished life (Palasas)
compared to our made believe tales of stories on various platforms. For example,
feeble and barely able to report, it is perhaps not due to difficult life but by so
willing that the so called sex hawkers (Olosos) submit to strict sexual regime life
they are living.
Although, there is a heavy blanketof secrecy over the wholeevents and affairs on
employment and we saw unilaterally and unanimously mess up in this area. Even
though this is vague we still sound metaphorical, is like employing conspiracy
theory here, and wearerather closeto the factthat joboffersand contracts award
arestill in a shabbysystem.Therefore,getting a good job,investment and contract
awards are always at the mercy of the ruling class with inadequate women
involvement. We also think Lagos should have pioneered the practice of diverting
indigenous and foreigninvestment excessivereturns into the peasantryto connect
them to corporatistagrarian and socialbenefits networksrather than leaving them
4. to their own autonomous devices entities. In fact, we recorded that much of the
profit made within medium and large investments went towards lavish living
expenses by the so-called entrepreneurs.
As an extensively documented project, the government should undertake an
extensive assimilation projectto engage all professions and makeboth indigenous
peasants part of the development plan through Development Policy and Practice
(DPP). Also, supporting the local people and mostly women and children in the
twenty -firstcentury, which could have helped the state gain its ability to provide
for all is the corporatist largesse popularly known as ‘Corporate Social
Responsibility (CSR)’. As this summation is under-researched, it is difficult to
provide a comprehensiveanalysis of the impacts an investment environment has
on the local people-in particular those of poverty, inequalities and injustice-posed
by development and facing indigenous peasant people. Thus, although there are
recorded initiatives of some undertaking in some areas which representatives of
those investors participate or have intended to implement. For example, a free
borehole water was provided for a particular neighborhood by a popular private
company, but it is still a concern that those ones do not have a publicly available
description that concentrates upon return and admission to be analyzed as CSR.
Our courses and research recognizes possible challenges likely facing the
government in enforcing this progressive program, it is therefore our
oversimplification to regard it as private rights and public interest and soliciting or
finding these approaches and policies to address development challenges facing
local people and promote a sustainable future. For example, is it not ideal to
legislate that those working on screen as a technician, technocrat, or
administrative staff should undertake an annual eye check to complement those
professionals in this field. Any discrepancies noted carry a practical significance
that such provision, if any, lacks grasp with a wider robust national system that
should be powered by information sharing requests for other agencies to be
efficient and go further to beneficiaries.
Although it is not the aim of this findings to scrutinize the existing traditional
monarch structure, a common understanding of the nature in the contemporary
worldexperience formedpartof oursecretlanguagethatit could bea daydreamed
about an imaginary to get the kingdom (Lagos City) to the ‘Centre of excellence’
called, where it should be ruled together by king and queen. A matter of
interpretation on feminist approach and political preferencewould be meaningful
as a cornerstone of our beliefs to see women emerging among numerous of its
5. traditional rulers of Obas. Our reasons for such changes should be in general
excellent, at least without emphasizing the extremest point of doctrine, the great
pleasure for the office of Obas aroused political and economic consideration. This
means women are central to equally enjoying the universal acceptability of
cosmopolitan Lagos in the age of reformation.
Our findings brought no fear of a more widespread security risk but a
contemporary contentment of happy people that would rely on local security
personnelon meagre income to render excellent services of additional protection
of lives, propertiesand premises.Werecordedon this premisethat mostcorporate
establishments makeuse of private security guards’ involvementin actions aiming
atstrengthening their operation services’capacitiesin a moresecureenvironment.
This is a good development and has really paid off. Itwill be morerewarding if the
state government supports these private corporate guards with technical
assistanceprovided only for project beneficiaries. Itcan include strengthening the
infrastructure of services or developing communication systems, improved on
closenetworkingwith the police among others para military training or inductions.
However, we remained skeptical to this, there has been much current concerns
ranging fromthe more general in the activities of the police with submission that
there has been comparative little attention given to police recklessness following
the anti SARS riot. This is unfortunate as our analysis here on the paradigm of a
possible clash between public and government interest derived from police
overzealousness.
To avoid reckless conscription of narratives for ideological purposes, we
opinionated that there is some considerable loss of love, trust and confidence
among people in general. This in our view is historical collective experience not
related to the fear of intellectual con-men but as result of feeble political
atmosphere of extermination. This is not all uncommon in a near fascisms set up
as observed, where representatives are drawn on events and activities that suit
their cause. On the contrary, an excess of historical self-digested, serves to hinder
rather than promote love, peace and unity, while a critical engagement will
undoubtedly help people to understand their present, particularly in terms of
broader themes and ideas that build their confidence in their government. We
recommend direct occasional rapport with the common people, apart from the
annualconstituencystakeholders’meeting, simplisticanalogies shed farmoreheat
than light.
6. Despite the vibrant modern Lagos state with a new global history of modern
shopping malls and interchanging across the city. Our findings show that the state
and its local councils do not help a progressive learning environment and this is
anti-good development. The city councils as a matter of emphasis need to be at
the peak of its closeness to mindedness, with youth training and empowerment
and ability to providelibraries in all local areas that bloat the shelves with modern
books and mini historical centers. It will then be a balancing between eloquence
shattering any stereotype on grand style of binge drinking, drug abuse and sexual
activities that was recorded to be high in all places across the state. Therefore,
more needed to be done to promote the state citadel of learning and youth
development.
In the advent of the recent SARS riot and economic crisis with the fear of any
unwanted widespread future indigenous uprising resulting in destroying lives and
properties. The assertion of multicultural indigenous uprising has been largely on
reasons of injustice and lack of normatively better means of empowering citizens
in a legal system, and in others, might be for each individual to utilized the prior
consultation mechanism available in the state, thereby recognizing their rights as
citizens to use legal mechanisms that would be free of corruption to guarantee
their rights. The government should strive to mobilize to strengthen indigenous
guarantee constitutionally enshrined rights. These might also be the use of the
courtand ADRmechanismasa focalpoint to addressinjustice. Such a movewould
put the state squarely within the movement toward participatory democracy and
more global orientation with credibility.
We have much to thank the Federal Government including all states executive
governors, houses of assembly, in particular Lagos State Governor, his excellency
Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his team, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all Western
State governors, notminding their involvementin SARS and Palliative saga. Aslong
as we knew as it was the period following the pandemic that they have helped the
Nation reputation to grow. They have given over all of their private
correspondences in order to see the people get the attention they deserved and
rapidly overcome the pandemic problem, most likely, have helped their beloved
fatherland achieve that which had been their work — to create a servant
leadership legend. However, to avoid our being charged for complacency, more
needed to be done across all segments recorded on human life - education, work,
living standards, health, justice and security, participation in society including
7. provisionof uninterruptedelectricity supplyand good roadsacross Lagosstateand
Nigeria nation. In every given society, there will always be need for development.
Best Regards.
