Thursday 20th September 2012 - Research the institutional
backgrounds of two newspapers to
aid with the macro analysis and to
gain a further understanding of the
newspaper industry
- Start the macro analysis of the two
local newspapers to understand the
composition of newspapers and to
gain some ideas for my own
newspaper
- Complete the macro analysis of the
two local newspapers
Thursday 27th September 2012 - Begin the research for the ancillary
tasks (the billboard poster and the
website) to enable me to understand
the methods behind these
advertising techniques and to gain
ideas for my own
- Start the analysis of examples of
these advertising methods
- Complete the research and analysis
of these products
Thursday 4th October 2012 - Design a questionnaire to gain
feedback from the audience about
the type of newspaper they would be
interested in
- Ask people to complete the
questionnaire and start to compile
the received information together
- Write up the information that has
been taken from the questionnaires
and decide a pathway to take with
my newspaper
Thursday 11th October 2012 - start and complete the flat plans for
each of the tasks – main task and
ancillaries – to give a clear overview
of the style I which to take
- create the masthead for the main
task (newspaper) to identify the
name and style that I will be working
on

2. Thursday 18th October 2012 - start and complete a mood board
that clearly shows the ideas and
views I have for the newspaper
Throughout the week (18th – 25th of October) - take images that I will be using within
my final product
Thursday 25th October 2012 - edit and manipulate the images so
that I am able to use them within my
newspaper
- upload the pictures to the blog and
explain why I have chosen them and
how I have edited them
- begin constructing the final product
- (mark progress throughout with
screenshots and explanations of why
I have chosen certain designs)
Thursday 1st November 2012 - continue working on the final
product
- continue to mark my progress
through explanations and screen
shots
- Upload regular updates of progress
onto the blog to portray the ideas
that occur and to show to developing
framework of the piece
Thursday 8th November 2012 - Continue and complete the final
productions and upload them to the
blog when finished
Thursday 15th November 2012 - Commence planning for the
evaluation of the project
- Begin the evaluation process
Thursday 22nd November 2012 - Finish the evaluation process and
upload it to the blog
