My name is Alfie Jones, and I am currently in my second year as a level 3 creative media student
at York College. I attended Vale of York Academy for 5 years and achieved high grades. For my
first year at college, I achieved a merit despite the complications with covid and I am looking to
follow up with the same grades
I am currently employed at two workplaces: Tesco and Wheatlands Lodge Hotel. At Tesco I am
a Customer Assistant and I work on Dotcom as picker and have been working there since
September 2020. My shift pattern is 6am-12pm on weekends, however I am looking for shifts on
Monday and Tuesday, and I am prepared to work some weekends, but I would like to have some
weekends free hence why I am looking for a new job. For my other job I am a waiter on an evening
and work when I am needed, and I have been working there since February 2019.
My skills and personal qualities include.
Hard working, productive, conscientious, can work independently and follow the instructions
given. I can use my initiative. I am polite and relate well to others and I am a good team player.

Interests
I have been playing for my local Sunday league team for over 10 years now, and I have been
captaining the team for over 5 years; I got the role as captain because of my leadership skills and
my consistent work ethic for consistent years. Being a media student, I mostly enjoy magazines
and photography on the course, and I enjoy creating unique pieces of work that have my own
twist on things, and I take huge inspiration from the 80s/90s/00s era for not only the fashion, but
the musical influence different artists had.
