I am 17 years old and am currently attending my chosen Art & Design course at
Walkden College. I am passionate to pursue my life long interest in fashion and design
through education or aprentships in the future. After a successful work experience in my
local hair studio, I am happy to try any kind of work and add more experience to my
already acquired skills described below.
Work Experience
Over the years I have gained lots of experience from assisting my parents in their
business and regularly attend market days to trade second hand & collectables with my
dad…this has given me lots of experience of dealing with the public and understanding
customer service, this recently continued whilst attending my school work experience at
PHD Hair Design studio in Irlam where I experienced lots of different styles of
hairdressing alongside the importance of communicating with clients and staying cool…I
currently have a small Acrylic Nail Hobby/Business I started up 2 years ago with a loan
from my parents, I have since paid back my loan and continue to show a profit. Also
throughout the summer break I had a part time job in marks and spencers, as a
customer assistant, on the checkout, meeting customers needs ect. It was only a six
week contract due to the school wear shop I was working in, the jobs that were available
after leaving didn’t suit my schedule with college. I will be available for weekends, and
any extra hours needed.
