Hayao Miyazaki, co-founder of Studio Ghibli, has come out of retirement to direct a new full-length CG animated movie for the studio. Miyazaki is one of the most beloved directors of anime films of all time. He was inspired to become an animator from a young age and was influenced by other famous manga artists. In 1985, Miyazaki co-founded Studio Ghibli along with Isao Takahata and Yasuyoshi Tokuma to produce animated films. Over 32 years, Studio Ghibli has produced 21 movies, 5 games, and 22 short films under Miyazaki's direction.
