Alexander Fetisov completed an internship with CEVA Freight Australia from November 2015 to February 2016. He documented their current processes as part of a project to move data entry functions offshore. Alexander engaged with operators across the business to understand processes and consolidated 171 work instructions into 152 detailed instructions. As part of the project, he participated in four process improvements that led to system improvements, cost savings, and improved efficiencies. Alexander managed his time well without needing direction and delivered the required results. Due to his skills, CEVA employed him part-time to continue refining the project results while he completes his studies, and his manager would hire him full-time if a suitable opportunity arose.

To Whom It May Concern,
Alexander Fetisov has completed an internship with CEVA Freight Australia PTY LTD from the
20th November 2015 to 26th February 2016. Alexander was tasked with documenting our current
processes as the first part of our project to move data entry functions to an offshore CEVA team.
Alexander was given an open brief for our requirements both with our Operational Leadership and our
LEAN (National Quality Team).
Alexander has gone out of his way to engage with the individual operators across the business
to understand their current processes and document these in line with the global business framework
for our Work Instructions. Alexander has bought his own experience and understanding of the quality
systems to this project and has simplified our instructions by reviewing 171 instructions and
consolidating these into 152 work instructions while also creating a significantly more details record of
our business processes.
As part of the project Alex has been involved in 4 process improvements (Kaizens) within the
business in conjunction with CEVA employees and our LEAN team. These four Kaizens have
contributed to significant improvements in our system and customer reporting plus ongoing cost
savings as a result of improved efficiencies.
Alexander has personally managed his time and engagements without need for direction from
management showing himself to be a mature and experienced self-motivator with the ability to
network within the business. Alexander has also been able to realise high level instruction to deliver
the results required for the overall project at hand.
The initial project was to be completed by two interns however with Alexander the only intern
showing the skills required CEVA have employed Alexander on a part time basis in conjunction with his
studies to continue fine tuning the results of the project.
Currently CEVA do not have suitable full time openings for Alexanders skill set however I
would not hesitate in employing Alexander if a suitable opportunity was available.
