This hotel is a budget accommodation located in the heart of
Auckland city, New Zealand. This central Auckland backpackers
hostel is in an old hotel built around the turn of the century so it
has plenty of charm and character. As a purpose built hotel our
hostel has large windows and hand basins in most rooms. It also
has a great location as it is located on the main street.
5. Activities and sites to visit
West Coast and Hauraki Gulf: In Auckland, you are never far from water.
From the surf beaches of West Coast to the calm waters of the Hauraki Gulf,
the sea and all its attractions made famous City of Sails. You can venture
into the water during your visit, whether on a relaxing cruise port or a
fishing charter, or to observe whales and dolphins, kayaking or surfing.
Waiheke Island: The Hauraki Gulf has a large collection of tranquil islands to
explore. The most populous is Waiheke Island, just 40 minutes by ferry from
downtown Auckland. The landscape is a picturesque blend of farmland,
forest, beaches, vineyards and olive groves.

6. Volcanoes and adventure: The Auckland region is dotted with 48 volcanic
cones, which provide spectacular panoramic views of the city and the
perfect place for a picnic. Rangitoto Island, just 25 minutes by ferry from
Auckland, has the most iconic city volcano and is a favorite spot for hikers
and birdwatchers.
Other activities: If you are looking for adrenaline, visit the Sky Tower, the
tallest building in the southern hemisphere; the bravest can even jump
from the top. In Auckland, you can also climb bridges, do bungy jumping,
jet ski surfing, skydiving, mountain biking or boating.
