3. The main scope of work comprises of the following;
• Protect the structure during works
• Removal and disposal of the existing natural slates, lime parging and existing battens and
re- slate with new Blue Bangor Penrhyn County natural slates and dreadnought ridge
and hip tiles.
• Works include the removal of the existing valleys and other flashings at chimney stacks
& replace with new.
• Remove all debris and insulation from the attic space.
• Repairs as necessary to roof timbers and also allow for all
valley boards to be replaced and new treated battens.
Treat all existing timbers with preservative.
• Provide insulation through out the attic space
• Provide eaves ventilation as per architect’s details plus in-line matching natural slate
vents. Also provide in-line slate vents at mechanical extracts x 3.
• Remove gutters and downpipes and replace with new cast iron goods with one extra
outlet and down pipe at the rear of the house to include for a new gully trap & AJ and
into the existing drainage.
• Re-plaster chimney stacks and capping.

Lighting
The external floodlights which where originally 400w sodium lamps x 3
Power usage was 1200w per hour.
These where replaced by a Prelux Photo Cell switch and 3no 50w Capella Slim LED Lamps
The running cost is now reduced by 700%
Paint Colours
The RAL number for the RWP downpipes is 9003 Signal White
The RAL number for the Gutters is 9017 Heritage Black
