KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
 End to end ownership of procurement activities in accordance with project or end user schedules,
specifications and budgets with strong internal control mechanisms
 Develops the project procurement execution strategy for individual Projects.
 Manage effectively, the procurement department to undertake project RFQ’s, commercial evaluations, PO
award and PO administration to final delivery and PO close out.
 Resolution of all commercial and terms & conditions criteria and issues related to RFQ’s and PO’s.
 Review and approve of all commercial bid evaluations, purchase orders and PO revisions in accordance
with the delegated authority matrix.
 Liaise with vendors and coordinate and assume lead participation in all vendor commercial clarification
meetings and/or conference calls and act as the company focal on all commercial communications with
vendors during the full purchase order cycle i.e. from proposal phase RFQ to final PO close out.
 Conduct regular progress review meetings with suppliers, monitor the progress of equipment, address
vendor areas of concern, pursue all action necessary to detect and avoid late delivery.
 Attend package kick-off meetings and pre-production, pre-inspection meetings to identify expediting
deliverables.
 Review supplier production schedules, monitor supplier workload and status of sub-orders. Expedite
vendor document / drawing submittals, monitor review cycle by Engineering and client.
 Coordinate with QA/QC for planning, organizing, controlling test and inspection activities as per project
objectives
 Liaise with Engineering and QC on technical/quality matters related to an RFQ and/or PO.
 Liaise with legal, accounts payable, project planning, shipping & logistics team and document control on
all matters related to the procurement activities as necessary.
 Sustain conformance with the company policies and procurement procedures and contribute to continuous
improvement of procurement work methodologies and processes.

(An Engineering and Offshore construction company executing number of offshore pipeline, subsea and
brownfield and greenfiled oil and gas projects on EPCI basis)
Procurement & Subcontracts Manager
 Handled 5 EPC projects so far, Petronas Bukit Tua, Pertamina MOL & PGN Lampung, Total’s
Bekapai, CNOOC Mila & Asti each with tight deadline and schedule with a small procurement team.
 Managed end to end procurement activities for total 525 purchase orders in a year time, PO placement
through competitive bidding by inviting multiple quotes, doing negotiation and giving best result to
company for every single purchase. Achieved auditable saving for company with strategic procurement,
competitive bidding, market knowledge, and strong negotiation.
 Initiated and managed to build a very large and impressive vendor database of local and overseas
vendors covering almost all different materials and services company procure in any EPC project.

 Followed all TBE, RFA and other procurement related documentation requirement from ExxonMobil

 Managed the procurement of materials and services for all Profab fabrication sites and projects.
