BUFFET SERVICE
A buffet is a system of serving meals that serve different types of dishes where
guests take foods themselves without any help from the waiter.
In buffet service, foods are normally placed on a table in a public area that easy to
access and the guests will queue along the length of the buffet table to get the foods
that they want.
Buffets are usually can be found in many places including restaurants like Seoul
Garden, hotels, and any social events like a wedding ceremony.
There are few buffet-style restaurant concepts such as Cafeteria Style, Special
Occasions, Catered, Healthy Concepts, and All You Can Eat. Seoul Garden's buffet
offers all-you-can-eat food for a set of price, but there are some restaurants measure
prices by the number of dishes or by weight.

TYPES OF BUFFET SERVICES
• More space requirement.
• Dishes are displayed and guests serve themselves. But sometimes assisted
services are there.
• Typical buffet service type for informal and formal functions like
wedding ceremony.
Sit Down Buffet
• Ideal for the place that has minimum space.
• All guests are standing and eat their meals.
Standing or Stand Up Buffet
• No cutleries are required.
• Ideal for Asian food and culture.
• Popular for a wedding ceremony.
• Famous in outdoor catering and smaller establishments.
Finger Buffet

• Cutleries are required.
• The fork is convenient to use when the guests eating while standing.
• The knife is not convenient to use.
Fork Buffet
• Display of cold cuts.
• Famous in Western culture.
• Served cold hors’ d oeuvre like potato salad, pasta salad, smoked salmon,
dips, and breadsticks.
Cold Buffet
• Display of ice carving, tallow sculpture, butter sculpture.
• Live counter.
• Tawa counter.
• Japanese teppanyaki.
• Chinese/Thai live counter.
• Carving and flambé items.

RAMADHAN BUFFET
Ramadhan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, recognized by all Muslims as a month
of fasting. During the entire month, all Muslims are obligated to fast every day from sunrise
to sunset.
Ramadhan Buffet is a sit down buffet service. It is a must-have event for every restaurant
and hotel to attract their customers to come and iftar in their place. Usually, they will offer
a lower price for the iftar packages that they provided to attract a large group of customers.
The price and packages normally for that month only and not available on other months.

These are examples of the menu that usually provided by many hotels and restaurants. They
provided various types of foods start from the appetizers until desserts and beverages. They
usually provided packages or combo for their customers which come in a large group
included selected foods and beverages with a set of fixed prices only of that month.
Normally, the buffet price for kids is cheaper than adults.
