3. CLOTHES Maya clothes reflected a person’s position in society and age. The clothes were made of vegetal fibres from the rainforest. Warriors wore ornate eagle feather hair dresses and jaguar skins. The Mayas jewellery it was made of opal, jade and obsidian.
4. Medicine and Beliefs The Maya believed the earth to be flat and four cornered. They had at least 166 gods. Priests were also doctors. The most used Maya medicine was a hot ,bitter,frothy drink made of ground cacao beans and quite similar to chocolate.It cured diahorrea and fatigue.
5. HOUSES Most of the Maya people lived in small villages. Their houses had thatched roofs and usually had just one room. These huts were used all for sleeping. Daily housework was done outdoors in the central communal compound.
