what equipment within the unit is to be
decontaminated. OZEST will design a detailed
procedure with regards to the most cost-
effective method. OZEST walks every job
and with the continuous support of PSC
designs the most efficient circulation loops
to facilitate the decontamination of entire
unit. OZEST customers offer the best support
for the effectiveness of our decontamination
processes.
OZEST deliver decontamination chemistry
Life GuardTM both in the Liquid Phase and
the Vapor Phase. Life GuardTM hydrocarbon
decontamination formulation that is
environmentally safe, fully biodegradable and
compatible with all metallurgy. The specific
mode of application such as vapor phase or
liquid circulation, or a combination of the two,
is tailored during the site visit, where the exact
scope of work and availability of resources is
discussed in detail with the plant personnel.
8. CHEMICAL DECONTAMINATION
Vapor Phase Decontamination
Life GuardTM from Philip services (PSC) is a highly effective vapor phase decontamination product, as it has a
high solubility of Hydrocarbons in vapor phase, it can access surface and deposits that cannot be contacted by
liquid flow. Vapor phase application is equally effective for light end as well as heavy end products and offers
rapid decontamination (within 8 – 12 hours) with minimal effluent generation making it an increasingly popular
methodology with our clients.
Life GuardTM chemistry is entrained into a steam source. The steam carries the chemistry throughout the process
vessels. The solvent in the product vaporizes, dissolving the hydrocarbons as it proceeds over the vessel. The Life
GuardTM chemistry forms a strong emulsion with the hydrocarbons and then drained from the process vessels
with condensed steam. Residual chemical is steamed out, completing the decontamination cycle.
9. Liquid Phase Decontamination
Life GuardTM chemistry are exceptionally effective in removing both heavy end
hydrocarbons such as vacuum residue and asphalt and as well as light end
hydrocarbons such as benzene from the process vessels in refineries and
petrochemical plants.
A typical concentration of Life GuardTM for the process application is 0.5%
to 2% in water. During the decontamination process, the equipment will
be vented first to the flare system and afterward to the atmosphere.
This aqueous solution of Life GuardTM is circulated in a closed
loop through the plant process vessels and piping at 70⁰ to 90⁰
for 8 to 12 hours (wash cycle). In the wash cycle, Life GuardTM
forms a stable emulsion with the hydrocarbons present in
the plant equipment and piping. At the end of the cycle,
the emulsion is pump out of the system to complete the
Decontamination.
The effluent emulsion generated during the
decontamination is stored in a holding tank and is
then broken down using a demulsifier to allow
recovery of the hydrocarbon that is removed
from the process equipment. The subsequent
aqueous phase is discharged to the plants
API or waste treatment facility and the oil is
sent to slop tank for reprocessing.
10. CHEMICAL DECONTAMINATION
Successful Applications
OZEST has successfully applied Life GuardTM
in petrochemical and refinery system, treating
desalters,crudeunits,vacuumtowers,hydrotreaters,
hydrocrackers, visbreakers, isomerization units,
platformers and reformers, amine units, sour water
system, delayed cockers and ethylene compressors
and quench water systems.
Life GuardTM greatly reduces the time it takes to ensure
that benzene is reduced to less than 0.5 ppm and in doing
so reaches well below the Lower Explosion Level and
Personnel Exposure Limits for the light end distillates.
Steaming a large unit may take up to 5-6 days, but using
Life GuardTM system this is reduced to 12-24 hours.
This gives faster access to systems and increasing safety
and profitability.

12. VOC, VAPOR & GAS EMISSIONS CONTROL
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are chemicals that constitute one of the primary
elements of air pollution in a wide range of industries – especially in petrochemical
processes that produce and use large amounts of solvents and volatile chemicals.
VOC emissions are significant greenhouse gases, and therefore regulated by
Royal Commission and General Authority of Meteorology and Environmental
Protection.

hazardous inorganic gas Hydrogen Sulfide H2
S (irreversibly) and bad
odors in addition to the VOCs from a gas stream up to within the
allowablelimitsdefinedbytheenvironmentalregulatoryauthorities.
The chemicals used in our process are fully biodegradable and
environmental friendly.
13. The major applications for emission control are as follows.
• Filling of HC storage tanks.
• De-inventory of solvents to a temporary storage.
• HC Storage tank maintenance.
• Decommissioning activities.
• HC Waste handling operations.
The setup includes wet scrubbers and adsorption media filters for VOC and H2
S removal. The
equipment is portable and can be commissioned in few hours at the work site.
14. CHEMICAL CLEANING
In today’s industrial environment, maintenance & energy cost form a
large part of the operating cost. In case downtime and/or equipment
design does not permit mechanical cleaning, the most cost effective
solution is Chemical Cleaning.
OZEST's key is of providing quality chemical cleaning rest in the
engineered selection process. We have the largest variety of solvent
systems, including chelants, organic solvents, inhibitors, alkaline
cleaners, emulsions, organic acid, mineral acids, and detergents
from which to develop cost effective chemical cleaning processes.

Chemical Cleaning is proven, efficient & widely accepted method for removal of
deposits formed in various refineries, petrochemical plants, and power generation
plant equipment
15. There are two main types of acids used in dissolving contaminants or scales:
Minerals Acids Organic Acids
Hydrochloric Acid Citric Acid
Sulfamic Acid Ammoniated Citric Acid
Nitric Acid Oxalic Acid
Phosphoric Acid Glacial Acetic Acid
Sulfuric Acid
During the chemical cleaning various inhibitors are used. The inhibitors form a protective film on surface of metal
in order to protect parent metal from reacting with the acid. Inhibitors do not change the rate of reaction of acid
on the scale; they inhibit the metal from reacting with the acid. OZEST applies different types of inhibitors based
on the acid selection.
Advantages of Chemical Cleaning:
• It can be performed on site without disassembling & moving equipment, saving enormous time, labor &
associated costs.
• It eliminates the need for physical entry of personnel thus offering a much safer
alternative.
• It conditions the process surface to reduce future fouling.
• It can handle systems which are difficult to reach by other conventional cleaning
methods such as hydro jetting.
OZEST is fully equipped to handle all your chemical needs at a short notice with

18. BUNDLE PULLING SERVICES
The Truck mounted bundle puller (TMBP) can be
quickly mobilized to the site and is a fully self-
contained bundle extractor to pull back horizontal
tubebundleswhicharelocatedattheheightbetween
680 and 6700 mm and with a maximum weight of
15T - 20T. Due to its unique and patented design, this
machine can also be used to transport the bundles
to the cleaning slab. Therefore, it is appreciated in all
the refineries and in the petrochemicals sector.
The main advantage is that during the pulling/
pushing operation you do not need a crane anymore
which will reduce your cost and bring your downtime
back to a minimum! Less organization is needed! The
truck is allowed to drive on the public road, therefore
making it a versatile and efficient tool. Even in the
difficult place to reach with the crane, e.g.; when
there is a pipe frame above the heated exchanger,
the Truck Mounted Bundle Puller can still do the job.
Once the extractor is in position and the butt plates
are positioned against the shell flange, the extractor
can exert a force of 50,000 kgf, enough to extract even
the most obstinate bundle. After the initial break out,
the hydraulic pulling car will be hooked to the pipe
plate and the extractor can pull out the bundle in
one continuous stroke. Once the bundle is resting on
the truck, it can be transported to the cleaning slab
and can be offloaded by crane.
19. In case the Truck Mounted Bundle Puller
cannot be used, OZEST can provide an Aerial
Mounted Bundle Puller. The hydraulic tube
bundle extractor is a self-contained unit,
which is easily lifted into position by one
crane. Once in position, and clamped to the
shell flange of an exchanger, the extractor
can exert a persuasive force of 50,000 kgf,
enoughtobreakouteventhemostobstinate

OZEST Aerial Mounted Bundle Puller
is 8.0 M long and weighs 7 tons. It is
suitable to use for tube bundles with
a maximum diameter of 2.5 M; length
of 8.0 M & weight of up to 45 tons. (For
tube bundles with larger dimensions,
additional equipment/accessories are
to be added).
20. HYDRO JETTING SERVICES

the lance bed and pitch is not covered, it is very clear
to see for the operator if his lances are in the right
position.
The chains, which drive the lances are located in
a tray with a Teflon liner to avoid damage to the
metal and the chain is being tensioned by a tandem
construction, avoids the chain from slapping against
the metal.
The length of the lances which moves into the tubes
can be set by using sensors, to prevent lances from
21. closing heat exchangers).
b) Pulling and inserting tube bundles by means of hydraulic powered Bundle Puller.
c) Hydro jetting tubes, internally & externally.
d) Pressure testing.
All work is performed in compliance with strict safety rules & regulations.
IBC 5 Inside Bundle Cleaner:
In order to meet the increasing demands of internal tube cleaning tube cleaning, OZEST has invested in specially
designed Inside Bundle Cleaners. The IBC 5 is one of the fastest cleaning machines in the world today and has
been designed to clean a large number of bundles on the cleaning slab, during shutdowns. The IBC 5 can be fully
operated from inside the cabin by 1 operator, in a very simple but efficient way. From the cabin the operator can
control up/down/left/right movement with a simple joystick, the rollers can be turned, the outriggers can be
operated and the lance bed can be moved forward and backward ±60 cm. The lance bed, 10-meter-long T-bars
give a perfect guide for the lances and at the same time avoid dirt from remaining in the lance bed.
Manual adjustment of the pitch by the means of tightening nuts keeps the pitch fixed at all times and because
damaging and entering too far. Especially in cases with hairpin bundles (U-tubes), this can be very effective. At the
same time, the hydraulic power to move the lances forward can be adjusted, prevent the lances from breaking in
case of a blockage. In case there is a problem with the hose or lance, they can be replaced in a matter of minutes.
Safety
The IBC 5 is equipped with 2 emergency stops and with the lances the tubes all other hydraulic controls are
blocked. (Except for forwarding/backward movement). The cabin will look itself at any height in case of a failure
during lifting/lowering. The IBC 5 is in compliance with the latest EC regulations.
Efficiency

All controls are located inside the cabin, next to the operator, to create an obstructed view and a comfortable
working position.
22. HYDRO JETTING SERVICES
Outside Bundle Cleaner
OZEST utilizes a specially designed Outside Bundle Cleaner to clean tube bundles in a safe and cost effective way.
The tube bundle is placed on two hydraulic driven heavy duty rollers which can be controlled from the cabin of
the operator. The bundles are being cleaned by means of a horizontal driven nozzle bar, which can also move
vertically and towards the bundle to get the best cleaning results. The right combination of water pressure (up
to 15,000 psi) and flow, removes scaling such as coke, polymers, etc. without the use of any additional cleaning
agents. The Outside Bundle Puller has a horizontal stroke of 9.50 M and the maximum height is 1.95 M. The speed
is adjustable from the cabin where the operator can sit comfortably and safely without being exposed to the dirt.
23. Safety
Because the operator can only operate the unit from inside the cabin, he will have protected from dirt or high
pressurewater.Anemergencyshutoffvalveisalsofittedinthecabin.TheOutsideBundleCleanerisincompliance
with the latest EC regulations.
Efficiency
Because of the variable speed control and the possibility to control all movements from cabin, the Outside
Bundle Cleaner is a simple and effective machine, which will prove to be very cost effective.
Hydro jetting Equipment:
Automated Cleaning:
OZEST utilizes high flow hydro jetting pumps. These units can produce pressures of up to 15,000-20,000 psi at a
flow of 40-200 lpm. The diesel driven unit is skid mounted for easy transportation/mobilization. All hydro jetting
pumps are equipped with all necessary accessories and safety devices in order to safely execute the required
