Call for Applications: Project Coordinator - Unleash Tunisia
Position: Project Coordinator
Duration of the Contract: 2 MONTHS - Reports to Project Manager
Program Duty Station: Startup Haus-Tunis
Background:
"Unleash Tunisia" is a one-year advocacy project promoting entrepreneurship, business skills
and a “startup mentality” all around Tunisia. The project is delivered through a training team
traveling on a bus around the country, setting up three to four days long training sessions in
large towns and cities.
YLE will organize 5 boot camps on a form of bus tours that have a specific planned target
direction. For each tour, 30 participants will be selected from a wide range of backgrounds
along with professional mentors, staff, investors, and mentees. The tour will offer specific
highly intensive training that introduces the participants to the culture of entrepreneurship,
access to financing and investment plus a capacity building program for enhancing their soft
skills and job hunting techniques. 150 Indirect beneficiaries will benefit from the second part
of the project related to Peer to Peer mentorship and online training.
2. 1. Major Duties and Responsibilities of the Project Coordinator:
Will dedicate 80 % of time to coordinate MEPI project activities, including training,
communication, data collection, and information dissemination
2. Specific Duties and Responsibilities of the Project Coordinator:
As a Project Coordinator, s/he shall be responsible for the following functions:
• Take the charge in implementing the project based on the terms of project contract with the
donors and agreements with the partner- organizations
• Coordinate with the partners, consultants and other service providers engaged in the project
activities
• Closely work with the with the Program Manager and other program staff for the overall
implementation of the program’s plans and activities
• Monitor and provide support as needed in the effective and efficient implementation of the
project's activities by partners
• Coordinate and prepare the timely submission of reports to donors including finance report
• Take the lead in the networking/collaboration with other organizations/CSOs, etc. in relation
to the project implementation and thematic area of the project
• Prepare and coordinate the advocacy and the communication activities of the project with the
advocacy coordinator
• Share information with the partners, networks, list serves
3. • Prepare the annual work plan and budget for the project
• Prepare six monthly and annual project reports
• Assist in the preparation and timely submission of program plans and reports
• Participate in the Program Team and regular Staff meeting
• Inform and seek the guidance of the Program Coordinator on pertinent issues in the relation
to the project and the plans and activities the program
• Support Program Coordinator in fund raising for the program
Experiences:
• At least 2 years’ work experience in project management, monitoring, and coordination
Skills and Abilities
Strong analytical skills and English writing skills- formulating key messages, writing brief
statements and concise and results-oriented project reports
Knowledge and skills on logical framework and finance monitoring and budgeting
Excellent communication skills in written and verbal English.
Self-motivated, dynamic, creative and energetic
Positive attitude to working in a multi-ethnic/social environment
