To Whom It May Concern:
Subject: Reference Letter – Adam Godfrey
I am very pleased to write this letter of reference on behalf of Mr. Adam Godfrey in my
capacity as ISSM. Joint Staff Joint Training hosts exercises for all branches of the military
and NATO allies. Overall, I believe Adam to be a skilled, thoughtful, and thoroughly
professional Cyber Security Engineer, which I will briefly elaborate on below.
I have known Adam for approximately 2 years. I first got to know him when he was working
as a Team Manager and Lead Information Assurance Engineer with the J6 Pentagon Cyber
Security Branch. Here at the JSJT J7, he led a group who validated our DIACAP and RMF
C&A packages. His knowledge and thoroughness are unmatched when it comes to C&A. His
knowledge of networks and topologies coupled with cloud computing is unbeatable. Adam
has a genuine and enthusiastic approach to Cyber Security. He takes time to get the project
completed on time every time and finds the time to educate others.
Currently, he is spearheading the re-accreditation of one of our networks under the new
Risk Management Framework (RMF). He has excelled in making the change over from
DIACAP to RMF and is helping others to do it as well. He has helped us to develop many
new RMF-centric policies and procedures. Adam always shows a strong analytical and
problem solving approach to every assignment he is given. I am impressed by his
outstanding diligence and high level of technical expertise. He is always a pleasure to be
around and work with.
Simply put: I was glad the day he came to work on our team; hands down. Any company
that has Adam working for them should count their blessings and I stand by that remark! If
I may be of further assistance with regard to Adam, please call me at 757.203-5242 or e-
mail me at james.h.condon.civ@mail.mil.
Sincerely,
James Condon
