Curriculum
 A curriculum is a plan or a roadmap for learning
which aiming on purpose of education in society
 A/c to Modern Concept of curriculum-It is sum
total of experiences that pupil receives through
manifold activities that goon in the school,
classroom, library, laboratory workshop,
playgrounds and in numerous informal contacts
between teachers and pupil.
Curriculum Development
 It refers to the actual implementation of results of
the decisions finalized during curriculum planning
 A/c Nicholls and Nicholls, “the planning of
learning opportunities intended to bring about
certain changes in pupils and the assessment
of extent to which these changes have taken
place in what is meant by curriculum
development”.
 So it is a continuous and dynamic process.

 So there are four stages of curriculum development
 It is base stage of curriculum development
 It also includes the philosophy of strong education
belief of the school.
 These beliefs are translated to classrooms desired
learning outcomes for learners.
 In this stage all the philosophical ,sociological,
economical perspectives are taken into consideration
to inculcate in curriculum which society needs on the
present and coming future.
 It is the stage of selection and organization of
content to put in curriculum.
 The selection of an assessment procedure is also
designed to measure the objectives for each
content .
 A curriculum design will also include the
resources to be utilized and the statement of
desired learning
Ex- in the NCERT and SCERT books also mention
what are desired objectives you can achieve after
you taught a subject
 It means putting into action the plan which based
on the curriculum design in the learning
environment.
 Process of implementation is done as
provisionally in some school trail basis. Then it
implements in nation wide if it has positive impact
on the trail .
 Teacher is implementer. he acts as facilitator of
learning by adopting and adapting the instruction
and guidance in accordance to curriculum design.
CURRICULUM IMPLEMENTING
 It determines the extent to which the desired
outcomes have been achieved .
 This procedures are ongoing finding out the
progress of learning.
 On the other way it will find whether any other
development, rectifications are needed to
implement or to make some better to best by
taking corrective measures.
 The result of evaluation is very important for
curriculum planners and implementors.

Curriculum Development  It refers to the actual implementation of results of the decisions finalized during curriculum planning  A/c Nicholls and Nicholls, “the planning of learning opportunities intended to bring about certain changes in pupils and the assessment of extent to which these changes have taken place in what is meant by curriculum development”.  So it is a continuous and dynamic process.

Contd….  So there are four stages of curriculum development  It is base stage of curriculum development  It also includes the philosophy of strong education belief of the school.  These beliefs are translated to classrooms desired learning outcomes for learners.  In this stage all the philosophical ,sociological, economical perspectives are taken into consideration to inculcate in curriculum which society needs on the present and coming future.
  • 7.  It is the stage of selection and organization of content to put in curriculum.  The selection of an assessment procedure is also designed to measure the objectives for each content .  A curriculum design will also include the resources to be utilized and the statement of desired learning Ex- in the NCERT and SCERT books also mention what are desired objectives you can achieve after you taught a subject
  • 8.  It means putting into action the plan which based on the curriculum design in the learning environment.  Process of implementation is done as provisionally in some school trail basis. Then it implements in nation wide if it has positive impact on the trail .  Teacher is implementer. he acts as facilitator of learning by adopting and adapting the instruction and guidance in accordance to curriculum design.
