Students are the front-end user of OPAS. Some authorized
administrators are back-end user and they have fully control of
OPAS.
Front Page of OPAS
Facilities of OPAS
 Some facilities of OPAS are given below.
 Easy to use: The OPAS is so easy to use and manage. It’s so
simple to submit a project/thesis by using OPAS. On the other
hand administrator can easily manage those project or thesis

Abstract
 The works of OPAS can be
divided into three parts and
there are,
 Front-End (user part).
 System(OPAS part).
 Back-end(administrator
part).
 Now we will describe each and
every part broadly. Fig: Flow chart
How OPAS works(Front-end)
 Front-end/User:
 Student of an institution are the front-end user of
OPAS.
 They can submit proposal and can watch there
proposal status.
 They get every notification by email. Notifications
are like: there proposal are accepted or not,
Proposals are successfully submitted or not etc.
How OPAS works(Front-end)
 Student can submit proposal
from OPAS main page. There
are proposal option in top
navigation bar (Fig1). Also
there are shortcut option
under the slide in home page
(Fig2).
 If you use top navigation bar
then you have to choose your
program (BSc or MSc) after
that. On the other hand in
shortcut the two option are
already separated.

frontend.
How OPAS works(Front-end)
 After 1st step validation in 2nd step OPAS
will verified the team leader email id by
sending him/her a verification email with
a verification code.
 Paste the given code to the
corresponding filed in OPAS.
 After that a confirmation message
appeared and that’s all.
Fig: Verification Email
Fig: Past the code in OPAS
Fig: Confirmation
How OPAS works(Back-end)
 Back-end/Administrator part:
 Some authorized administrators are the back-end user.
 Administrators are chosen by main administrator. Main
administrator who have fully control of OPAS. They can create
new administrator.
 There are 3 types of user category .
 Admin (Main administrator. Having full control and can create a
new administrator.) Noted- There is only one admin exist.
 Read and write (Having full control but they can not create new
administrator.)
 Read only (They can only read.)
How OPAS works(Back-end)
 Only ADMIN (main administrator can access the user part in OPAS).
How OPAS works(Back-end)
 Every user have there unique login id and password.
 By username and password OPAS automatic find out there administrator category.
Fig: login page
How OPAS works(Back-end)
 What can admin do?
 Admin can Accept, Reject, View and search the proposal.
Fig: Home screen after login
How OPAS works(Back-end)
 What can admin do?
 In proposal part there is an
advanced search option.
Administrator can search by
Status, Program and
Supervisor.
 And there a logout option for
logout from OPAS admin
panel.
Fig: Proposal Page in OPAS
How OPAS works(Back-end)
 Technical part of Front-end/User.
 When a project is PENDING there
is tow option that admin can
choose 1. Accept and 2. Reject.
 If admin choose accept, there is
another 3 options are appear. 1.
Supervisor 2. End date and 3.
Administrator Name.
 If admin choose reject, there
another 2 options are appear. 1.
Reason of rejection 2.
Administrator Name.
Fig: Proposal Page in OPAS
How OPAS works(System)
 System or OPAS part:
 Actually system works silently in every part…
 When user submit an ID in 1st step. The system automatically find out the ID is
valid or not, The student already submit any project before or not. And system
response spontaneously. A student only submit a project proposal if he/she have
a correct student id and there is no previous, active or complete project which is
holding his/her ID. System continually maintain that. You can fill it when your
going to submit a proposal…
 A BSc holder can not submit project in MSc holder section and vice versa.
 System automatically send every notification to the member of corresponding
project. Like if admin accept/reject there proposal System emailed all the member
with every information.
 System verified team leader email ID because Email is the main medium of
communication with admin and student. OPAS make sure that the email id
actually real.
How OPAS works(System)
Fig: Full Dataflow
Database of OPAS
 OPAS use 2 database named,
 Project
 Use for holding project information.
 In project database there are 4 tables. (proposal_info,
member_info, reject_list, admin)
 Students
 Where the student information are stored.
Database of OPAS
Take student info Store project information Store member information for
corresponding project
If project accepted then store
the project info to the reject list
Store admin information
Students: Projec_info: Member_info:
Reject_list: Admin:
Future Works.
 Now OPAS only available for CSE department.
We implement it for all department of PUB in
future.
 We add digital signature for sing in the project
proposal form.
 We can add more security feature for OPAS
admin.
for being with us…
