NATIVE MARKETING
• Native advertising refers to a form of paid advertising that seamlessly blends into the
format and style of the surrounding content, making it appear more natural and less
intrusive. It aims to deliver promotional messages to the target audience in a way
that feels organic and aligned with the platform or publication where it is placed.
• Unlike traditional display ads, which are typically separate and easily recognisable
as advertisements, native ads match the visual design and overall user experience
of the platform where they appear. They are often labeled as "sponsored,"
"promoted," or "ad," but the intention is to make them look and feel like regular
content.
NATIVE ADVERTISING CAN TAKE VARIOUS
FORMS, INCLUDING:
• In-Feed Ads
• Sponsored Content
• Recommended Content
• Native Search Ads
• Custom Native Ads
IN-FEED ADS
• These are native ads that appear within the feed of social media
platforms or content feeds on websites. They resemble regular posts
or articles, but they are sponsored content. For example, promoted
tweets on Twitter or sponsored posts on Instagram are forms of in-
feed native ads.
SPONSORED CONTENT
• Sponsored content refers to articles, videos, or other forms of content
created by brands or advertisers and published on third-party
platforms or publications. The content is typically relevant to the
platform's audience and matches its editorial style, but it is clearly
labeled as sponsored.
RECOMMENDED CONTENT
• Recommended content widgets are often found at the bottom or
alongside articles on websites. These widgets suggest additional
content that may be of interest to readers, and they often include
native ads that lead to sponsored articles, videos, or other relevant
content.
NATIVE SEARCH ADS
• Native search ads appear as sponsored listings within search engine
results pages (SERPs). They resemble organic search results, but
they are marked as ads. Native search ads are designed to blend with
the overall appearance and layout of the search results.
CUSTOM NATIVE ADS
• Custom native ads are tailored to fit the specific design and
