Why Synthetic Inertia is so important for Micro Grid

 PV Plant and other RES integration into a grid may pose challenges in terms of Frequency response.
 Inverters have actually no inherent inertial response.
 Short Circuit Ratio at the point of Interconnection (POC) determines the stability of the interconnected
system with combination of System Inertia and RES penetration.
 Minimum SCR shall be maintained > 5 at the POC for any RES integration at MV Voltage level.
