• 12th Board Marks are indicator of your academic performance throughout
the life, such as
– For admissions into IITs, IIITs, BITSAT – minimum aggregate marks required are 75%
– For admissions to Medical, Engineering, Architecture courses – minimum PCM marks
required are 50% for OPEN category & 45% for reserved category
– For admissions to Post graduate courses like MBA, MS, M.Tech etc., the weightage scale
for 12th marks as under
– Above 90% - 5 marks
• 80 to 90% - 4 marks
• 70 to 80% - 3 marks and so on…
• For placements in good companies – 12th marks above 75% and above
60% plays very important role
