No Sir!
Sir last meeting we discussed about
computer.
A computer is a machine that can be
programmed to carry out sequences of
arithmetic of logical operations
automatically. Modern digital electronic
computers can perform generic sets of
operations known as programs. These
programs enable computers to perform a
wide range tasks.
C. Unlocking of
Terms
These are some of the terms that you will encounter later in our discussion.
Unlocking of Terms
1. Keyboard is an input device and is the most basic way for the user to communicate with a
computer.
2. Mouse a small handheld device that is dragged across a flat surface to move the cursor on a
computer screen, typically having buttons that are pressed to control functions.
3. Scanner a scanner is a device usually connected to a computer. Its main function is to scan
or take a picture of the document, digitize the information and present it on the computer
screen.
4. Microphone the function of a microphone in a computer is to pick up sound, just like a
microphone used by a singer on stage, and convert the audio sound waves into electrical
signals.
5. Digital camera/Web Camera a camera that records and stores digital images.
6. Monitor a computer monitor is an output device that displays information in pictorial or
textual form.
7. Printer a machine for printing text or pictures onto paper, specially one linked to a computer.

computers, although usually capable of other audio uses.
The learners will read the following terms.
9. Headphones are a pair of small loudspeaker drivers worn on or around the head over a user’s
ears.

Questions after learners arrange the letters:
1. What are the words that you have formed out from the jumbled letters?
2. What idea that pops out into your mind when you hear the word input?
3. How about the word output? What are your ideas about it?
You will be rated according to this rubric. Do you want to add anything to the rubric?

Very good class!
Group Presentation!
IV. EVALUATION Group activity: The learners are divided into four groups- the same group that they had during
The motivational activity. The teacher hands out the pictures of the different devices for input
and output.
Group the following pictures of the devices whether it belongs to the input or output devices:
