1.Learning outcomes/Evaluation criteria 
• To learn the names of celestial bodies in our galaxy. 
• To understand the differences between celestial bodies. 
• To identify the eight planets in the solar system. 
• To learn about the key features of the eight planets. 
• To understand that Earth rotates on its axis. 
• To do an experiment to show why day changes to night. 
• To learn how the inclination of the Earth’s axis causes changes in the seasons. 
• To find out and write about the planets in our solar system. 
• To acquire habits to recognise different celestial bodies. 
• To respect oneself and others.
2.Subject content 
• Identify the different celestial bodies: Sun, planets, asteroid, 
comet... 
• Recognize the eight planets in our solar system. 
• Earth’s rotation: Day and night. 
• The moon, earth’s only satellite and its phases. 
• The Earth orbits around the sun: Seasons. 
• Respect for the environment and the need of protect it by saving 
energy.
