The Top Restaurants in Las Vegas
Las Vegas has a become a mecca for food lovers in recent years. It all started
when Wolfgang Puck opened a branch of his Spago restaurant in Vegas in
1992, and since that time, celebrity chefs have flocked to the desert city in
hordes and opened fantastic - and expensive, world-class restaurants.
Everything's not so high end though - there's also a good selection of family-
run local restaurants, small chain outposts that are really good, and out-of-
the-way ethnic places.
Here’s our favorites:
1. L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon
L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon is located at the MGM Grand and is the place to go in
Vegas for an ultimate fine dining experience. Chef Joel Robuchon was named “Chef of
the Century” by the guide Gault Millau, and he has more Michelin stars than any other
chef in the world. The cuisine is classic French that is expertly prepared, and the menu
choices are a la Carte, Degustation Menu, or Seasonal Tasting Menu. The La
Langoustine at L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon was featured on the Food Network‘s The
Best Thing I Ever Ate.
• Foie Gras Parfait with Port Wine and Parmesan Foam.
• Seabass and Baby Leeks, Buttery Shellfish Sauce with Lime and Ginger.
• La Caille au Foie Gras – Free-range Quail stuffed with Foie Gras.
• Le Rumsteack en Tartare et ses Frites à L’ancienne – Steak Tartar.
There are actually 9 L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon in the world. The others are in Paris,
London, Monaco, Hong Kong, Macao, Singapore, Taipei and Tokyo. A tenth will open
in Bangkok. The restaurant is fairly small, so reservations are recommended - read more

2. Mon Ami Gabi
Mon Ami Gabi is a casual French bistro and steakhouse in the Paris Resort and Casino.
Dine in the airy atrium or al fresco on the patio at Chef Gabino Sotelino’s top-quality
restaurant – it’s a good choice for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner. The people-
watching is the best in Vegas. Savor the experience with one of the 80 boutique French
wine varietals that are offered from a rolling wine cart. The servings are generous, but
you’ll want to save room for dessert.

• Wild Escargots de Bourgogne – Oven-roasted Snails with Garlic-Herb Butter.
• Onion Soup au Gratin baked with Gruyere Cheese.

served. Cooking classes, seasonal chef dinners, and wine tastings are also available
- read more here (Photo by Britt Reints)
3. Lotus of Siam
Lotus of Siam has an unimpressive exterior and is located far from the Las Vegas Strip,
but those making the trip to the restaurant will be rewarded with some of the best Thai
food they’ve ever had. Chef Saipin Chutima specializes in her native northern Thai style
of cooking, and the hole-in-the-wall location is often visited by top chefs and foodies
from far and wide.
The Nam Prik Ong at Lotus of Siam was featured on the Food Network‘s The Best

4. Restaurant Guy Savoy
Restaurant Guy Savoy is the acclaimed Michelin three-star French chef Savoy’s lone
American restaurant. His oft-praised Paris restaurants include the original Guy Savoy,
Le Chiberta and Les Bouquinistes, and his Las Vegas outpost has earned the Five-Star
award from the Forbes Travel Guide.
The posh restaurant is located on the second floor of the Augustus Tower of Caesars
Palace and offers wonderful views of the property’s Roman architecture. The interior –
and the menu – are reminiscent of his Paris restaurant, and the Krug Chef’s Table, which
is the only one of its kind in the United States, offers a private dining experience with a
view of the kitchen accompanied by exclusive champagne from the House of Krug. The
Signature Menu include 9 courses. For the comprehensive experience, opt for the 14-

and such signature dishes as the artichoke and black truffle soup and one of their
excellent desserts.

The Best Restaurants in Las Vegas

  • 1. The Top Restaurants in Las Vegas Las Vegas has a become a mecca for food lovers in recent years. It all started when Wolfgang Puck opened a branch of his Spago restaurant in Vegas in 1992, and since that time, celebrity chefs have flocked to the desert city in hordes and opened fantastic - and expensive, world-class restaurants. Everything's not so high end though - there's also a good selection of family- run local restaurants, small chain outposts that are really good, and out-of- the-way ethnic places. Here’s our favorites:
  • 2. 1. L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon is located at the MGM Grand and is the place to go in Vegas for an ultimate fine dining experience. Chef Joel Robuchon was named “Chef of the Century” by the guide Gault Millau, and he has more Michelin stars than any other chef in the world. The cuisine is classic French that is expertly prepared, and the menu choices are a la Carte, Degustation Menu, or Seasonal Tasting Menu. The La Langoustine at L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon was featured on the Food Network‘s The Best Thing I Ever Ate. • Foie Gras Parfait with Port Wine and Parmesan Foam. • Seabass and Baby Leeks, Buttery Shellfish Sauce with Lime and Ginger. • La Caille au Foie Gras – Free-range Quail stuffed with Foie Gras. • Le Rumsteack en Tartare et ses Frites à L’ancienne – Steak Tartar. There are actually 9 L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon in the world. The others are in Paris, London, Monaco, Hong Kong, Macao, Singapore, Taipei and Tokyo. A tenth will open in Bangkok. The restaurant is fairly small, so reservations are recommended - read more here (Photo by Krista)
  • 3. 2. Mon Ami Gabi Mon Ami Gabi is a casual French bistro and steakhouse in the Paris Resort and Casino. Dine in the airy atrium or al fresco on the patio at Chef Gabino Sotelino’s top-quality restaurant – it’s a good choice for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner. The people- watching is the best in Vegas. Savor the experience with one of the 80 boutique French wine varietals that are offered from a rolling wine cart. The servings are generous, but you’ll want to save room for dessert. • Classic Quiche Lorraine with Bacon, Jarlsberg Cheese, and Caramelized Onions. • Wild Escargots de Bourgogne – Oven-roasted Snails with Garlic-Herb Butter. • Onion Soup au Gratin baked with Gruyere Cheese. • Roast Chicken and Frites – Grand-mère Style with Mushrooms, Bacon and Pearl Onions. • Steak au Poivre with Brandy Peppercorn Sauce and Pomme Frites. The best seats at Mon Ami Gabi may be the ones outside with a view of the Bellagio Fountains. Reservations are not available for these seats – they are first come, first served. Cooking classes, seasonal chef dinners, and wine tastings are also available - read more here (Photo by Britt Reints)
  • 4. 3. Lotus of Siam Lotus of Siam has an unimpressive exterior and is located far from the Las Vegas Strip, but those making the trip to the restaurant will be rewarded with some of the best Thai food they’ve ever had. Chef Saipin Chutima specializes in her native northern Thai style of cooking, and the hole-in-the-wall location is often visited by top chefs and foodies from far and wide. The Nam Prik Ong at Lotus of Siam was featured on the Food Network‘s The Best Thing I Ever Ate. • Drunken Noodle Soft Shell Crab. • Crispy Duck Curry. • Seabass Som Thum and Mango Sticky Rice. • Kang Hun Lay. Lotus of Siam has a large wine list and features many Rieslings that pair well with the spicy food. Be sure to make reservations - read more here (Photo by Jennifer Woodard Maderazo)
  • 5. 4. Restaurant Guy Savoy Restaurant Guy Savoy is the acclaimed Michelin three-star French chef Savoy’s lone American restaurant. His oft-praised Paris restaurants include the original Guy Savoy, Le Chiberta and Les Bouquinistes, and his Las Vegas outpost has earned the Five-Star award from the Forbes Travel Guide. The posh restaurant is located on the second floor of the Augustus Tower of Caesars Palace and offers wonderful views of the property’s Roman architecture. The interior – and the menu – are reminiscent of his Paris restaurant, and the Krug Chef’s Table, which is the only one of its kind in the United States, offers a private dining experience with a view of the kitchen accompanied by exclusive champagne from the House of Krug. The Signature Menu include 9 courses. For the comprehensive experience, opt for the 14- course Innovation-Inspiration Menu. Both menus include the much-lauded bread cart and such signature dishes as the artichoke and black truffle soup and one of their excellent desserts. In addition to the restaurant, the refined Cognac Lounge at Restaurant Guy Savoy offers high-end, exclusive drinks, including a lengthy list of Cognacs. Restaurant Guy Savoy also offers cooking classes – see their web site for details - read more here (Photo by Charles Haynes)
  • 6. 5. Eat Eat is a cozy, retro-chic breakfast and lunch place located in the Downtown Project that is revitalizing Las Vegas’ forgotten downtown. Owner and Chef Natalie Young excels at offering delicious, upscale comfort food at a reasonable price. Expect such breakfast staples as large, fluffy pancakes and grilled cheese sandwiches, plus eclectic fare such as truffled egg sandwiches. The restaurant is located on the ground floor of an apartment building in a clean, modern space with concrete floors, large windows, and an exposed ceiling. It bustles with a mix of both locals and tourists. • Golden-brown Pancakes with Chicken-Apple Sausage and Maple Syrup. • Huevos Motelenos – Two Eggs Over Easy with Red and Green Chili, Black Beans, Peas, Feta, and Sauteed Bananas on Corn Tortilla. • Truffled Egg Sandwich – Two Farm-fresh Scrambled Eggs with Wild Mushrooms, Chives, Feta, Bacon, and Smashed Potatoes. • Roast Beef Sandwich with Blue Cheese, Wild Mushrooms, Pickled Red Onions, Arugula, and Mayo on Ciabatta. • Shrimp Po Boy – Sauteed Shrimp, Shredded Napa Cabbage, Seasonal Winter Veggies, and Tabasco Mayo on Ciabatta. Chef Young is in the process of opening Chow, a restaurant that will be open during dinner hours downtown and offer such foods as classic Southern fried chicken and Chinese food - read more here (Photo by kennejima)
  • 7. 6. Bouchon Bouchon is run by Thomas Keller, a prominent American chef and cookbook writer most famous for The French Laundry in Napa Valley and Per Se in New York. The Las Vegas location of his restaurant opened in 2004 at The Venetian. It is a French bistro with indoor and outdoor seating, a raw bar and a bakery. It was an extension of his Bouchon restaurant in Yountville, CA. • Chicken & Waffles with Roasted Chicken, Bacon & Chive Waffle, Tahitian Vanilla Bean Butter & Sauce Chasseur. • Croque Madame with Toasted Ham & Cheese on Brioche with a Fried Egg & Mornay Sauce. • Steak Bouchon – Grilled 14 oz. New York Strip with Sauce Béarnaise and served with French Fries. • Gigot d’€€Agneau – Roasted Leg of Lamb with Flageolet Beans, Garlic Confit, and Thyme-scented Lamb Jus. A “bouchon” is actually a type of restaurant found in Lyon, France, that serves traditional Lyonnaise cuisine. Typical Lyonnaise cuisine is meat-heavy and generally fatty foods such as sausages, pâtés, and roasts. Bouchon Bakery has three kiosks in the Venetian – two in the Clock Tower and one in front of The Venetian Theater. Both the restaurant and the bakeries are open from breakfast through dinner - read more here (Photo by Charles Haynes)
  • 8. 7. Raku Raku is the restaurant in Vegas where the casino chefs go to eat on their days off. Chef Mitsuo Endo’s intimate Japanese restaurant is definitely away from the glitz and off the beaten path a little bit – actually, it’s in a strip mall in Chinatown. If you make it there, you won’t be disappointed. There are sushi items on the menu, but the specialty here is on traditional izikaya fare such as small bowls of soup and Japanese robata charcoal grilling. • Housemade Raku Tofu with Green Tea Powdered Salt. • Udon Noodle with Foie Gras Egg Custard Soup. • Juicy Deep Fried Chicken. • Robabta Grilled Kobe Beef Fillet with Wasabi. Since Raku is very small, so it is very advisable to make reservations. For dessert, the related Sweets Raku is a fabulous dessert bar in the same shopping center - read more here (Photo by John)
  • 9. 8. Joël Robuchon Joël Robuchon is the first Las Vegas restaurant to be awarded 3 Stars from the Michelin Guide, which it won in 2008 and 2009.
