1. Report: Survey
A Survey On Breakfast
Last Thursday on 13th August, my group and I conducted a survey regarding
breakfast. We distributed 20 questionnaires to 20 students in our school from Form 1
Cekal, 1 Amal and Form 2 Cekal.
Based on the 20 students involved in the survey, 14 said they take breakfast
(70%) everyday. Meanwhile, 6 students admitted that they do not take their breakfast
(30%). We think that it is very unhealthy for them to skip their breakfast because it is
the most important meal of the day.
The students gave reasons why they did not take their breakfast. A majority of
the students said that they do not have time to prepare or take their breakfast. The
second reason they gave was because they are not hungry. Others gave reasons
such as they do not want to gain any weight or their breakfast are not prepared.
Besides, the numbers of students who eat balanced breakfast are more than
the number of students who do not eat balanced breakfast. Majority of the students
eat bread and cereals for their breakfast. Some have fruits and vegetables while
others preferred milk, nuts, beans and dairy products. It shows that most of the
students in our school are healthy because they eat meals which have many kinds of
nutrients which includes carbohydrate, vitamins and minerals in the right amount.
This is important for an active day at school.
We think that all the students should take breakfast before going to school
because healthy breakfast increases longevity and better health. Furthermore,
starting your day with a good breakfast boosts your energy, increases your attention
span, and heightens your sense of well-being. You’ll be in better control of your
emotions. Moreover, a good breakfast is one that provides at least one third of the
day’s calories. So, we should have our breakfast before going to school or work.
