2. The film face off was directed by John Woo in 1997 and is both an action and crime film. The plot of the film is a revolutionary medical technique allows an undercover agent to take the physical appearance of a major criminal and infiltrate his organization.
3. Mise-en-scene The opening scene is set in a park with a Mary-Go-Round in the centre, which is a major prop in the clip. The other props used in the clip is balloon that are attached to the young boys hand showing that there could be a fair on and that the father and him are having a happy time, creating an atmosphere. Also the assassin has a gun and telescopic sights. The father and son are in clean and casual clothes, showing they are middle class and the assassin is in smart dark clothes, looking professional, showing that he is doing it as a job. His facial expressions also shows this, because he has no look of sadness when he sees them together and he just looks like he does it from day to day. The lighting in the clip is bright because it is set in the day and it looks sunny, giving a joyful mood of again.
4. Camera The camera shots used in the clip are close-ups and eyes level shots on the assassin when he is drink and looking quite content. There is also a close up on the father and boy when they are playing on the Mary-Go-Round. A track movement left to right is used, which is quick and rapid, showing that maybe something is going to happy or because there is laughing in the background at that point, showing they are enjoying themselves.
5. Editing Editing is used through the cuts from the father and the boy to the assassin, showing two different things happening at the same time. There is also a wipe shot from one image of the boy and the father with lights from the Mary-Go-Round showing t is dark and then a cut to it in the daylight, showing that they come to this place a lot, so it is an easy place for the assassin to kill him. There is also a slow motion on the bullet when it s shot, to show suspense and tension.

7. There is a movement of a coat moving through the air and the background music that comes on when the assassin comes into the clip, making a dull and gloomy atmosphere.
