1. I have included a beach (Sandbanks) in my video, because beaches are
known to be romantic and long strolls along the beach are always
popular. However, I have gone against these conventions and added a
childish and fun twist. Instead of a romantic walk, the couple are
running into the sea stripping down to their swimwear and dancing
conveying their adventurous and immature side. Also, there is water in
which to emerge the GoPro.
2. I have included an airport (Glasgow) in my video to show that the couple are ambitious and travel together. This
conventionally means they are well-cultured and have money. Travelling is also popular among my target
audience therefore this location is likely to interest them, because many travel after education, in a gap year etc.
3. I have included shots inside a train and in buses to show how the couple are
adventurous, like a travel log. It also shows that the couple aren’t rich and don’t mind
using public transport, suggesting that they are down-to-earth and enjoying life.
4. I have added movement in shots showing the scenery of Aberfoyle (Scotland)
landscape because the autumnal colours are eye-catching and the speed of
the shot shows the couple on the move and time passing.
5. I used knowing the local area to my advantage and used a large public
location in my video. I filmed on Okeford Hill (Okeford
Fitzpane/Shillingstone). The scenery on the hill is perfect for the
romantic shots because it’s very isolated and beautiful views.
6. I filmed at Stirling University (Scotland) because
the views are stunning and the autumnal colours
work well in the video adding natural colour.
7. I filmed at Stirling Castle (Scotland) because it’s a tourist location and
couples tend to do touristy activities when on holiday. Also, it has some
amazing views and the arch works well as a frame for the video, using
the rule of thirds.
8. I have included Poole Park as a location in my video because it’s very
calm and a typical place for a romantic stroll or couples activity (picnic
etc.) Also, there is a lake in which to dunk the GoPro.
9. I have added some shots at home to show all aspects of the
couple’s life and what they get up to in their spare time, as
couples tend to argue doing day-to-day activities. This means
that the arguments can be shown in a normal location and how
they get on each other’s nerves which juxtaposes the exciting
shots of them getting along perfectly. Also, with shots in my
own house, I have permission to alter the set and time to set up
better lighting.
