7. Introduction

Transformer is a static
piece of apparatus by
means of which power
in one circuit is
transformed into
electric power of the
same frequency in
another circuit.

Significance
8
9. This paper includes only the implementation of power
Transformers. It should cover the performance
indication of transmission line in the generating
station. It also covers the controlling system in case of
improving the performance.

Scope and Limitations
9
10. In the early days of commercial use of electric power
Transformer, Transformer of electric power at the same voltage
as used by lighting and mechanical loads restricted the distance
between generating plant and consumers. Different classes of
loads – for example, lighting, fixed motors and traction
(railway) systems – required different voltages, and so used
different Transformer. Due to this specialization of Transformer
was so inefficient that generators needed to be close by their
loads.

15. Energypac is one of the leading power engineering companies
in Bangladesh. Continual research and development, state of the
art production facility, quality products, competent services, and
countrywide operations have made it warmly acceptable to the
customers. Energypac was incorporated in 1982 as a private
limited business enterprise. It is powered by 1200 skilled
manpower of which 150 are graduated engineers.

Organization overview
16. Basic function of Transformer
4/4/201416
It consists of two inductive coils
which are electrically separated but
magnetically linked. The two coils
possess high mutual inductance.
The first coil, in which electric
energy is fed from the ac supply
mains, is called the primary
winding and the other from which
energy is drawn out, is called
secondary winding.

19. The transformer is based on two principles:
First that an electric current can produce a magnetic field
(electromagnetism)
Second that a changing magnetic field within a coil of wire
induces a voltage across the ends of the coil (electromagnetic
induction).

26. For manufacturing and testing of Transformer, there are
several methods as discussed to improve the performance
In that case the manufacturing and testing of Transformer
developed depends upon the system includes losses,
limitations and the controlling system
Installation and at the same time improves the efficiency to
obtain the greater performance of Transformer

Summary
26
27. In this paper the methods developed for the redacting
limitations which are very applicable. Here the transformer
losses has personated some methods which are much easier and
more practical than before. The paper should give the clear idea
about failure protection and the process is very simple and has
the ability to protect Transformer to maintain the high
efficiency.

Recommendation
27
29. Transformer is very trustworthy device and can provide
service for a long time if maintain and serviced
commonly. Before doing my report I had speculative
knowledge but now I am familiar with the Transformer
briefly. We can use the technology and save the Earth
from different pollutions by generating Power in other
technology.
