4. Pembagian
proses pendaurulangan,misalnya saja plastik.

10. Catatan
• Sebenarnya bila ingin mudah,bisa
menggunakan mesin pengolah kompos,tetapi
harganya lumayan mahal.
• Apabila ingin cepat,bisa menggunakan
dekomposer buatan yang disebut aktivator
kompos,tetapi masih lumayan jarang ditemui.

11. Budaya mendaur ulang
Semakin hari,apabila diperhatikan,jumlah sampah akan
terus bertambah,bayangkan apabila 1 orang membuang 3
sampah/hari,sedangkan populasi di Jakarta sekitar 9
juta-an orang(jakarta.bps.go.id)bisa menjadi 12 juta
sampah, belum wismandan wisatawan domestik yang ada
di jakarta, yang bisa mencapai 1-2 juta orang per
tahun(jakarta.bps.go.id).bisa anda bayangkan berapa
jumlah sampah yang ada per tahun?
Jadi, tunggu Jika itu terus dibiarkan, maka dalam waktu beberapa
tahun saja sampah tidak akan muat lagi ditampung di
apalagi? TPAS,dan bisa menjadikan wilayah sekelilingnya menjadi
Let’s lautan sampah(seperti kota Bekasi ataupun Bogor).
Dengan mendaur ulang sampah, kita bisa mengurangi
recycle jumlah sampah yang ada,dan secara tidak langsung
menciptakan lingkungan yang bersih dan sehat karena
now! berkurangnya sampah.

13. Making Your Entire Life More Eco Friendly by Reducing,
Reusing, and Recycling All Aspects
• Is your life as green as it could be? Chances are,
there's some aspect of your life that you can reduce,
reuse, or recycle part of it. This lens will run through
a typical day (and some not so typical days) and the
events that occur, then the green alternative to what
you're currently doing. Make yourself and your family
more eco friendly with these tips on how to reduce,
reuse and recycle everything in your life!

14. TIPS 1(In the Morning - Things You Can Do to Be Greener Right
out of Bed)
• When you wake up, what's the first thing that you do? Most
likely, it's head to the shower, or maybe make a pot of
coffee(or tea and milk). With your showers, you can reduce
your water use through a low flow shower head, and by
reducing the amount of time you're in the shower. After your
shower, be sure to use an organic facial care product instead
of using a harsh, chemical filled lotion or abrasive cleaner.
Next up, your coffee(or tea and milk) and breakfast.
Compared to other meals of the day, breakfast uses less
electricity and energy from the farmland to your plate. So
where should you start to have a greener breakfast? Brewing
up your own coffee can actually be a good thing. Go organic
with your coffee (or tea and milk)and bring it to work(or
school) in a reusable container, which you can also use for
your water and other drinks. Fresh, locally grown fruit, eggs,
along with vegetables in your morning omelette will taste
better, fresher, and might even be cheaper.

15. Tips 2(The Commute to Work or school)
• Now, you might know where this is headed, but public transportation and carpooling
are major ways that you can save money and energy on your work commute. Roughly
a third of global emissions are caused by cars, especially cars that have bad gas
mileage. Large SUVs often get the worst gas mileage. Small cars that have been
maintained and hybrid vehicles get the best gas mileage, and emit the least. Even
better than driving into work is public transportation. Trains and buses will wind up
saving you a lot of money in the long run. If you live in the city, you might even
consider foregoing a car altogether (imagine that - no car insurance, no gas, no
maintenance, no car payments!). If you're not living in the city and public
transportation isn't an option, nor carpooling, maintaining your car so that it's
performing properly and efficiently will give you car the best gas mileage and ensure a
long healthy life for your vehicle.
What else can you do? Opt for windows instead of air conditioning when possible, use
less heat in the winter, and use a dashboard cover to keep your car cooler in the hot
summer months. This will protect your dashboard and save you from air conditioning
the car. Also, parking in shady spots will help with this.

16. Tips 3(Eco Friendly and Healthy Dinners)
• In many households, it's all about convenience and eating quick. The actual habit
of eating quick has to go the way of the dinosaur. Fast eating is unhealthy for a
number of reasons. First, your body needs time to tell you that you're full. Slow
eating will let your stomach communicate with your brain to tell it to stop eating,
and will prevent overeating. Second, slower eating will let you actually enjoy your
meal, something we should all be doing. Third, slowing down during preparation
and preparing your own meals instead of opting for TV dinners and take out will
make you healthier.
One way to save time and still make your own dinners is to prepare a few meals
in advance on a designated day of the week. For example, you could cook some
lean chicken breasts, spinach, and carrots on Sunday nights and refrigerate or
freeze the veggies. Simply throwing these items into a frying pan with a
tablespoon of olive oil and some spices will create an instant meal.
Next, you should consider what you're eating. Upping your vegetable intake,
lowering your meat intake, and lowering your carbohydrate intake can reduce
your impact on the environment. Meats use ten times as much energy to farm as
4/17/2012 vegetables, and emit far more toxins into the air. Making more vegetable based
16
recipes will have a great positive impact on your life.
17. • What’s the benefits of recycling?
• Recycling has many benefits, both for yourself, or to
the environment that would create asubstantial impact if it
is done constantly by many people. Some examples of the impact
will be discussed in the next slide.
4/17/2012 17
18. • Recycling Saves the Earth
Recycling different products will help the environment. For
example, we know that paper comes from trees and many
trees are being cut down just to produce paper. By recycling it,
we can help lessen the number of trees that are cut down.
Products made from raw materials that came from our natural
resources should be recycled so that we can help preserve the
environment.
4/17/2012 18
19. • Recycling Saves Energy
It takes less energy to process recycled materials than to
process virgin materials. For example, it takes a lot less energy
to recycle paper than to create new paper from trees. The
energy from transporting virgin materials from the source is
also saved. Saving energy also has its own benefits like
decreasing pollution. This creates less stress on own health and
our economy.
4/17/2012 19
21. • Recycling Reduces Waste Products in Landfills
Landfills are mostly composed of non-biodegradable waste which
takes long time to decompose. By recycling, we can lessen the
waste materials that are placed into landfills and we are able to
make the most out of these materials. If we don’t recycle, more and
more garbage will go to landfills until they all get filled up. If that
happens, where will the rubbish be placed? How would you like a
land fill in you backyard?
There are many companies out there that help reduce the problem
of overfilling landfills by offering options (like ink cartridges) that
make sense. When consumers seek out companies that have
established green practices, like Carrot Ink, the consumer wins by
not only helping the environment but also by saving money.
4/17/2012 21
22. The Last
• Recycling Helps you Save Money
Recycling provides ways to save money. You can sell recyclable materials to
organizations that are willing to buy it. Using products that are recycled lessens
expenses. Products that are made from recycled materials are less expensive than
products made from fresh materials.
At home, you can recycle biodegradable waste like eggshells, vegetable and fruit
peelings and use them to fertilize plants. By doing a little research and getting
creative you can save money and trips to the market while being kind to the
planet.
• As the population of the world increases recycling is becoming increasingly more
important. Our technologically advanced societies are creating more and products
and packaging that look good and are indestructible, but can take centuries to
break down.
In order to combat the rise of factors that are produced by non-environmentally
conscious groups, it is up to the growing numbers of individuals and companies
4/17/2012 want to inhabit a healthier planet to make a difference.
that 22
23. The other you can do(Believe me,it’s
very easy!)
• Use your paper on the both side.It can reduce
waste paper.
• Reduce the purchase. For example, reducing
the purchase of bottled mineral water, the
bottle can still be used several times, then we can
disposal it. Another way is to buy a reusable
bottle.
