Gyan Vihar ISBM focuses on entrepreneurship, becuase
entrepreneurs build enterprises, which generate employment
opportunities and change the society at large. In order to create a
stimulating culture, there are lot of student clubs, where students
experiment with their creative ideas and become mini-entrepreneurs.
Entrepreneurs and planners are regularly invited to enable students
to have a face to face discussions with them. There are regular
activities to stimulate the creative potential of the students. The
students are encouraged to pursue excellence. There are regular
business games and other experiential exercises to nurture the
decision making skills of the students. These initiatives enable
students to think out of box. All these initiatives can be summarised
as business simulation for developing entrepreneurial potential of the
students.

can attend this programme every saturday. The contents of
programme are for those who need skills for top management and
middle management assignments.
MBA (Dual Specialisation) : A student can take specialisation in two

MBA (Finance) : Enabling students to pursue career in Finance
area.Gives special training in stock market operations and in

MANAGING LIFE AT CROSS ROADS (free) - Special Career
Building Workshop : for students in the class 12th or final graduation
or for those who have completed class 12th or Graduation. The
students are exposed to detailed discussions on different career
options and they are provided detailed information about how to avail
the best options, how to get scholarships and how to prepare for the
best opportunities. These workshops are organised in Gyan Vihar
ISBM as well as in Schools and Colleges.

Coaching : Tailor made programmes for companies / NGOs for
training their executives. A large number of companies have
benefitted from these.
Gyan Vihar ISBM has following specialised labs for enabling students
to experiment with their creativity : -

All these labs and case development centres have great training and
developmental value for the students. A brief descrption of these is
presented below:
a. Marketing and Advertising Research Lab : The students study
the marketing strategies of different companies. They also study the
new product launches and how to prepare pre-launch strategies.
They also study advertisements of different companies. They also
prepare advertisements as a part of their regular studies. Their focus
is on bringing out the best creative appeal in an advertisement. Prof.
Swati Mishra, who has carried out doctoral research on print
advertising, guides the students about how to prepare creative
advertisements.
b. Finance Lab : The students study the stock markets, the
commodities markets and the financial institutions. There is a student
club named VIRTUAL TRADERS which stimulates experimentation
on stock markets and commodity markets so that students can
experiment with different hedging strategies and other options to
prepare themselves for the real world. Prof. Parul Bhargava, who has
carried out detailed industry projects with broking houses, guides
students. Regular visiting faculty and guest faculty further guide the
students. Recently Mr. Ishu Tayal (senior executive of BOMBAY
STOCK EXCHANGE) guided the students about working of stock
markets. Mr. Rahul Daga (trainer in financial analysis) also guided the
students. The regular virtual trading contests enable the students to
sharpen their creative potential.
c. Accounting and Statistical Lab : The students learn to use
accounting, finance and statistical softwares, which enable them to
6. prepare for the real life. These softwares are necessary now a days.
The students learn how to use these softwares under the guidance of
faculty members. Dr. Ram Garg, who is faculty of accounting, guides
the students to use these softwares.
d. Case Development Centre : The students prepare case studies
and other stimulating academic material under the guidance of the
faculty members. These initiatives enable students to prepare for the
corporate world. The students interact with entrepreneurs and
prepare case studies. The case studies developed by the faculty
members are used for experimentation and trial and later published
out. Video clippings for management learning are also developed in
this centre.
Gyan Vihar ISBM also organises regular events for development of
students. Recently the follwoing activities are being conducted : -
a. C3W : Convention on Climate Change and Water - a symposium
to discuss and share initiatives to protect and promote environment.
(please check www.c3w.in to get latest updates). C3W clubs are
organised to promote environmental conserns among students in
schools and colleges. Any school / college can contact for this
purpose.
b. Gyan Vihar Commerce Proficiency Test : A national level test to
promote commerce students (pl. contact Dr. Ram Garg to
participate). Any school / institution can conduct these for the benefit
of their students.
c. Economics and Environment Test : A national level test
conducted in collaboration with Rajasthan Economics Association to
promote awareness on economics and environment. Any school /
institution can conduct these for the benefit of their students.
d. Entrepreneurship Strategy Summit : a meeting of entrepreneurs
(pl. contact Prof. Deep Mathur to participate in this)
e. HR Conclave : A meeting of HR executives to discuss latest tools

f. CSR Round Table Conference : A meeting of CSR Executives
and NGO representatives to discuss about CSR strategies to be
adopted.
G. Creative Video Documentary Contest : Please contact Prof.
Swati Mishra to participate in this event.
H. Business Plan Contest : The students prepare business plans,
which are evaluated by Angel Investors / Financiers. The students get
guidance from angel investors about how to prepare a business plan.
Last year, Mr. Naren Bakshi, renowned angel investor guided the
students.

Gyan Vihar ISBM brings out many publications including its fortnightly
newsletter Hulchal, its bi-annual newsletter the Quaint, its bi-annual
journal IJEM and other publications.
8. The Gyan Vihar ISBM is proud of the facts that large number of
students become entrepreneurs year after year and they refuse to
take up jobs. Recently Mr. Digvijay Singh has started his own
company ACE (an HR consultancy company). Mr. Vaibhav Gupta
(2013 pass out from MBA) has become educational entrepreneur in
Alwar city of Rajasthan and has decided to dedicate his life to
promote education.
