Automatic measurement and reporting system of water quality based on gsm
1. Automatic Measurement and Reporting System of Water
Quality Based on GSM
Abstract:
With the rapid development of the economy, more and more serious problems of
environment arise. Water pollution is one of these problems. Routinely monitored parameters of
water quality are temperature, pH, turbidity, conductivity, dissolved oxygen (DO), chemical
oxygen demand (COD), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), ammonia nitrogen, nitrate, nitrite,
phosphate, various metal ions and so on. Sensor is an ideal detecting device to solve these
problems.
Existing System:
The most common method to detect these parameters is to collect samples manually and
then send them to laboratory for detecting and analyzing. This method wastes too much
manpower and material resource, and has the limitations of the samples collecting, long-time
analyzing, the aging of experiment equipment and other issues. So we go for the proposed
system to make the system easy.
Proposed System:
In the Proposed system we are having the PH sensor, flow sensor and temperature sensor,
microcontroller, GSM modem and LCD. The sensor values are analog values then the values will
be converted into the digital values by using the inbuild ADC module. If the values are abnormal
then the system will send the message to the monitoring section. And the values will be uploaded
in internet.
