  • The idea of having interactive visualisations for scientific data is something that has been discussed a lot in the last 2 or 3 years. I was part of a workshop/symposium back in April (2012) where this topic was explored, and I'll be at another in September. There is also a lot of discussion of how visualisation and analysis need to be combined.

    There is certainly a hunger for it. I guess one of the things my scientist colleagues are interested in exploring (apart from the data itself!) is how one works with [journal] publishers to make this possible.

    Interesting times, and it's great to see heavyweights from the UXD community being involved. Thanks, Stephen!
