Saint James the Greater left everything behind him when the Lord called him to be a fisher of men, and to follow him as one of the 12 apostles of Jesus. This was when he f decided to devote his life to the Lord. This was the beginning of his Christian journey
The word’s of Saint James the Greater
Saint James preached about the Lord in three different locations, such as, Samaria, Judea, and Spain. Many people gathered around and listened to the word of God. People loved to hear the word of God, spoken by Saint James the Greater.
Saint James witnesses the Lord
Saint James witnessed most of the recorded miracles of Jesus Christ. He witnessed the blind and deaf being cured. After they were cured, Saint James recited a blessing and a prayer, that they would stay healthy for the rest of their lives.
Due to the pilgrimage to Saint James the Greater’s relics in Compestela Spain, the symbols of Pilgrim’s became his emblems.
Saint James the Greater’s Death
Saint James the Greater was so deeply in prayer, when King Herod Agrippa arrested him. Shortly after he was arrested, he was beheaded. Saint James the Greater died at age 44.
Saint James the Greater lives on
After Saint James’s death, many people worshiped him and his preaching about the Lord. Even today, people still worship his word, and his gift of preaching about the Lord and his prayer.

Saint James did many good deeds and hard work in Spain. He helped the poor, and also led many people into the catholic faith. Due to all of this, he became the patron Saint of Spain.
