Arabic Language and Islamic Values Education is a holistic approach to learning that encompasses the linguistic, cultural, and ethical aspects of the Arabic language and Islamic teachings. It is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of both the language and the values that are deeply rooted in Islamic tradition.
Language Proficiency: The education focuses on developing proficiency in the Arabic language. Students learn to read, write, speak, and understand Arabic through various interactive methods such as storytelling, role-playing, and language immersion programs. Emphasis is placed on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and comprehension skills.
Cultural Appreciation: Alongside language skills, students gain a deep appreciation for Arabic culture and heritage. They explore classical Arabic literature, poetry, art, music, and history, gaining insights into the richness and diversity of Arab civilization.
Islamic Studies: The curriculum includes teachings from the Quran, Hadith (sayings of Prophet Muhammad), and Islamic jurisprudence. Students learn about the pillars of Islam, moral values, ethics, and the importance of spirituality in daily life. They also study the lives of prominent Islamic figures and their contributions to society.
Values Education: Islamic values such as honesty, compassion, respect, justice, and humility are integrated into every aspect of education. Students are encouraged to embody these values in their interactions with others and in their decision-making processes.
Character Development: Arabic Language and Islamic Values Education aim to cultivate well-rounded individuals with strong character and a sense of social responsibility. Through discussions, debates, and moral reasoning exercises, students learn to apply ethical principles in real-world situations.
Global Perspective: While rooted in Islamic teachings, the education also promotes a global perspective and encourages dialogue, understanding, and respect for diverse cultures, religions, and beliefs.
Community Engagement: Students are encouraged to actively participate in community service, charitable activities, and initiatives that promote social justice and positive change. This hands-on approach reinforces the values of empathy, generosity, and solidarity.
Overall, Arabic Language and Islamic Values Education seek to nurture individuals who are not only proficient in the Arabic language but also embody the ethical and moral values upheld in Islamic teachings, preparing them to be responsible global citizens committed to making a positive impact on society.

Rationale:
This pandemic has taken away the classrooms from our school
children. Indeed, we have faced a turbulent year in adjusting to the
situation we are in. Yet, we could not afford any disruptions on the
students’ learning, especially in learning lessons about our deen.
Thus, we, as educators handling Arabic Language and Islamic Values
Education, explored in the field of technology, and considered
alternative mode of learning, for us to be able to sail on the waves of
these trying times, in order to facilitate learning in the absence of
face to face classes.
