Rhinoceros ranks as one of the largest land creatures. It has huge and heavy body with
one or two horns above the nose. It has thick and loose skin. Its body and head are long but
not its legs. The rhinoceros may weight from 900 to 3.600kg. Rhinoceroses are herbivorous.
Rhinoceros usually moves slowly and little attention to their surrounding. But whenever
they are cornered, they will become very fierce. They can charge rapidly when they sense
danger. Then they strong, large size and sharp pointed horns make them powerful and

Javanese rhinoceros lives in Ujung Kulon National Park. The male has one horn while
the female usually has no horn.
