1. Computers are very useful and
  helpful but they can also cause
  problems.
2. One kind of the problems is with the
  computer’s memory.
3. It is not perfect so sometimes
  computers lose important
  information.
4. Another problem I with the
  machinery itself.
5. Computers are machines and machines can break
  down.
6. When computers break down, they may erase
  information like chalk on a blackboard.
7. Or it can be even worse that they may stop
  doing anything at all.
8. And there is another kind of problems with
  computers.
9. Some doctors say they may be bad for your
  health.
10. They say you should not work with computers
  all day because it damages your eyes a lot.
Passage 2:
1. Until the start of farming about
  10,000 years ago, human had only a tiny
  impact on the natural world.
2. Even 300 years ago large parts of the
  planet were natural grassland or dense
  forests.
3. Today that has changed and we now
  affect almost every habitat on Earth.
4. Unlike people, most plants and animals
  depend on one particular kind of
  habitat.
5. If that habitat disappears, they
  cannot survive and this is exactly
  what has happened in many parts of
  the world.
6. Forests and woods have been
  chopped down and grassland has been
  plowed up.
7. This has resulted in fewer places for
  plants and animals to live.
8. Efforts are now being made to reduce
  our harmful impact on the natural
  world and to protect endangered
  species.
9. According to scientist this is called
  conservation.
10. By using a range of conservation
  methods we can give wildlife a better
  chance of survival.
C. Letter 1:
Dear Mr. Peter,
1. I am writing to thank you for spending the
  summer with us.
2. It was nice of you to come to teach us how
  to use computers.
3. You were helpful because it was easy to
  follow your lesson.
4. Before you came, computers were strange
  to us.
5. Now we have known how to use them to
  support our study.
6. As you see I am using my computer to
  write the letter to you.
7. All of us regretted when the summer had
  passed fast.
8. We can’t wait for the next summer when
  you return.
9. Once again thank you so much. We love
  you from the bottom of our heart.
10. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Letter 2:
Dear Scott,
1. Thank you very much for the
  interesting magazines and comics you
  have sent to me.
2. I read all of them last night together
  with my younger brother.
3. I have never seen American comics
  before so I like them a lot.
4. They are really good - much better
  than English comics.
5. Do you know that I have just had some
  good news?
6. I am going to Florida for the summer
  with the whole family.
7. I have never been to the States
  before so I am really excited about the
  journey.
8. I have already bought a guidebook and
  a map and I hope they will help us a lot
  in America.
