In my first grade class at Canyon Elementary School, we are working on a water unit. I really wanted to use something that we have done in our technology class with the first graders. I eventually remembered about the temperature probes that we used in class. I wanted the first graders to be able to use these. I wanted all students to be able to participate and use the probes, but I knew that there wouldn’t be enough for everyone…and I didn’t know how I would transport many probes and many laptops. After a discussion with my mentor teacher, I decided to do water centers, one of which was a center using the probes.
