Ipads and tablets will be very useful in classrooms.
Like one of the videos discussed, these devices can
hold numerous books, articles, assignments, and much
more. This will help keep students more organized
and use a lot less paper.
3. Movies in the Classroom.
• After watching the video Why use media in the classroom?, I thought it was a very good
idea to show movies in the classroom if given the chance. As one lady discussed,
most students have seen thousands of people die on television or in movies.
Reinforcing positive ideas is very important for the students. They need role models
and constructive ideas to look up to. By showing these type of movies it is a great
opportunity for teachers to share these ideas with their students. Here is a short

• Not only are movies a good source of positive
ideas and role models. They are a good way of
keeping students entertained. Videos that are
short and to the point are the best way to
provide knowledge to the students. According
to the video students attention span is the same
as their age. Therefore, most students will not
pay as much attention to movies that are longer.
5. Games
• Computer games are a fun and interactive way for students to
learn in the classroom. Games not only teach kids, but they also
make it enjoyable. Some of these games can even be group
activities, which helps kids learn how to work in groups. Games
can also be used as a reward system. Such as when students do
well in the classroom they can play games on the computer or
tablet.
6. Classroom Website
• Having a classroom website is one of the best ideas I learned from watching
the movies. This not only makes it easier for the teacher to have a record of
what they taught that day. It is very beneficial for the students and their
parents. They are able to see what was taught that day and get extra practice
if needed. Also, it should contain any important dates and any assignments
that are due. This will allows students, teachers, and the parents to all be on
the same page.
