Unit 5: P4Group Influences Understand the relationship between science, commerce and politics.
P 4 describe five different groups and/or organisations that have a political agenda and their influence on science For P4, learners should be encouraged to carry out their own web-based research, along with contacting any particular groups in which they are interested. It is important that learners present a balanced report or presentation, explaining the purposes and views of these groups. Learners must be able to present arguments against the purpose of certain groups, where arguments exist in order to present a balanced case.
