- The point of this slide is to provide a brief a simplistic view of what we set out to do – and below the line some of the technologies we’ve used to enable this to happen
- SharePoint is a blank canvas with a huge palette of options and functions – it’s deliberately designed to be so, to allow you to use it in a thousand different ways. What this means in reality though, as we’ve seen in other activities, you need to tweak it to suit the particular thing you wish to use it for.
- When SharePoint is used by an organization without controls in place to prevent users from randomly creating sub-sites and Document Libraries without considering what they will contain and how their content will be managed. - So the approach we talk about is here is designed to be a balanced approach between encouraging participation but still putting appropriate controls in place to avoid SharePoint Sprawl
