Be a public school district or accredited private school system that serves a minimum of 2,000 secondary school students (students in grades 6-12 or 7-12, depending on how your district is organized; can include middle schools, junior high schools, and/or high schools)
Describe a project team that involves one or two school sites, and includes a district administrator, such as the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction, who is responsible for teaching and learning throughout the school district; in a large school district, this person may be the Director of Secondary
Propose innovations that enhance learning in at least one of the following disciplines: • Pre-Engineering • Mathematics • Science • Computer Science
The purpose of this grant is to provide progressive integration of instructional technology in classrooms and library media centers , and to provide sustained professional development to increase the skills of teachers in the use of instructional technology, in order to help students attain higher levels of performance in the New York State Learning Standards

Provide ongoing, sustained professional development focused on increasing knowledge and skills of teachers in the use of instructional technology to help students attain higher levels of performance in the New York State Learning Standards, and
Make use of recognized model programs that are based on research and have shown promise of significantly increasing student academic achievement.
