You may not be able to see them but
it's important to know that germs,
viruses and bacteria, are everywhere!
Germs can be bacteria, causing sore
throats, ear infections, toothache,
and pneumonia, or viruses causing
you chickenpox, measles,
and Covid.
Follow a few simple rules and you
will help keep the germs from
making you sick.
Anda mungkin tidak dapat melihatnya
tetapi penting untuk mengetahui bahawa
kuman, virus dan bakteria, ada di mana-
mana! Kuman boleh menjadi bakteria,

Germs hang out
everywhere. You may be
touching them without
even knowing: Door
handles, Shopping cart
handles, Restroom taps,
doors, handles, Hand rails,
Restaurant menus,
Elevator buttons…
Kuman melepak di mana-
mana. Anda mungkin
menyentuhnya tanpa
mengetahui: Pemegang pintu,
Pemegang troli beli-belah,
Paip tandas, pintu,
pemegang, Rel tangan, Menu
restoran, Butang lif…

The number one defence
against germs is washing your
hands. Wash your hands:
Before eating or touching food,
after using the bathroom, after
coughing or sneezing or
blowing your nose, after
petting animals, after visiting
sick friends, after touching
garbage.
Pertahanan nombor satu terhadap
kuman ialah mencuci tangan anda.
Basuh tangan anda: Sebelum
makan atau menyentuh makanan,
selepas menggunakan bilik air,
selepas batuk atau bersin atau
menghembus hidung, selepas
membelai haiwan, selepas
melawat rakan yang sakit, selepas
menyentuh sampah.

To wash your hands
properly:
Wet your hands, apply
soap, scrub front and
back, nails, between
fingers and wrists,
for about 20 seconds;
rinse off fully.
Untuk mencuci tangan
dengan betul: Basahkan
tangan, sapu sabun, gosok
depan dan belakang, kuku,
antara jari dan pergelangan
tangan, selama kira-kira 20
saat; bilas sepenuhnya.

To prevent germs causing
toothache, brush your
teeth every day, three times a
day, or at a minimum
morning and night: Brush for 3
minutes minimum.
Use the right amount of pressure,
not too hard or too soft,
floss between your teeth, rinse
with mouthwash.
Untuk mengelakkan kuman yang
menyebabkan sakit gigi, gosok
gigi anda gigi setiap hari, tiga kali
sehari, atau sekurang-kurangnya
pagi dan malam: Berus selama 3
minit minimum. Gunakan jumlah
tekanan yang betul, tidak terlalu
keras atau terlalu lembut, flos di
antara gigi anda, bilas dengan
ubat kumur.

Keep your body clean!
Wash every day in the
shower or bath.
Wash your feet, between
your toes, on top and
underneath,
wash under your arms
wash between your legs,
front and behind.

Wash your hair regularly to
keep the germs out:

Wash your clothes regularly:
Change your socks and
underwear every day!
Wash your clothes with soap
and water when they are dirty,
in a washing machine or by
hand.
Wash your sheets and
bedclothes regularly too.
Basuh pakaian anda dengan
kerap: Tukar stokin dan seluar
dalam anda setiap hari! Basuh
pakaian anda dengan sabun
dan air apabila ia kotor, dalam
mesin basuh atau dengan
tangan. Basuh cadar dan
selimut anda dengan kerap
juga.

When you cough or sneeze
make sure you cover your
mouth with your hand or arm
to stop spreading germs to
other people.
Use a tissue to blow your
nose and always discard it
afterwards in a bin or toilet.
Apabila anda batuk atau bersin
pastikan anda menutup mulut
anda dengan tangan atau
lengan anda untuk
menghentikan penyebaran
kuman kepada orang lain.
Gunakan tisu untuk meniup
hidung anda dan selalu buang
selepas itu ke dalam tong
sampah atau tandas.

Don't be a fool and use the three-
second rule!
Germs don't wait around for you, any
food dropped on the floor can pick up
germs immediately. While the longer a
piece of food is on the floor, the more
germs it will pick up, this doesn’t
mean it won’t have germs after only a
few seconds, if in doubt, throw it out!
And keep the floor clean to prevent
rodents and more germs.
Jangan jadi bodoh dan gunakan peraturan
tiga saat! Kuman tidak menunggu anda,
apa-apa makanan yang terjatuh di atas
lantai boleh mengambil kuman dengan
segera. Walaupun lebih lama sekeping
makanan berada di atas lantai, lebih
banyak kuman ia akan mengumpul, ini
tidak bermakna ia tidak akan mempunyai
kuman selepas hanya beberapa saat, jika
ragu-ragu, buangnya! Dan pastikan lantai
bersih untuk mengelakkan tikus dan lebih
banyak kuman.

Eat healthily so your body feels
good: Eat healthy snacks like fruit,
vegetables, or grains, instead of
crisps and sweets.
Try to eat five servings of fruits or
vegetables every day.
Drink water or juice instead of
fizzy drinks. Try to drink one to
two liters of water every day.
Makan secara sihat supaya badan
anda berasa sihat: Makan makanan
ringan yang sihat seperti buah-
buahan, sayur-sayuran atau bijirin,
bukannya kerepek dan gula-gula.
Cuba makan lima hidangan buah-
buahan atau sayur-sayuran setiap
hari. Minum air atau jus dan
bukannya minuman bergas. Cuba
minum satu hingga dua liter air
setiap hari.

Exercise regularly:
Play outside, walk, run,
ride a bike, take up a
sport, or do yoga.
Exercise helps your body
and mind function properly.
Bersenam secara teratur:
Bermain di luar, berjalan,
berlari, menunggang
basikal, melibatkan diri dalm
sukan, atau melakukan
yoga. Senaman membantu
badan dan minda anda
berfungsi dengan baik.

enough sleep,
especially on school
days.

Germ Prevention Tips

  • 2. 2 You may not be able to see them but it's important to know that germs, viruses and bacteria, are everywhere! Germs can be bacteria, causing sore throats, ear infections, toothache, and pneumonia, or viruses causing you chickenpox, measles, and Covid. Follow a few simple rules and you will help keep the germs from making you sick.   • 4. 4 The number one defence against germs is washing your hands. Wash your hands: Before eating or touching food, after using the bathroom, after coughing or sneezing or blowing your nose, after petting animals, after visiting sick friends, after touching garbage. Pertahanan nombor satu terhadap kuman ialah mencuci tangan anda. Basuh tangan anda: Sebelum makan atau menyentuh makanan, selepas menggunakan bilik air, selepas batuk atau bersin atau menghembus hidung, selepas membelai haiwan, selepas melawat rakan yang sakit, selepas menyentuh sampah.
  • 5. 5 To wash your hands properly: Wet your hands, apply soap, scrub front and back, nails, between fingers and wrists, for about 20 seconds; rinse off fully. Untuk mencuci tangan dengan betul: Basahkan tangan, sapu sabun, gosok depan dan belakang, kuku, antara jari dan pergelangan tangan, selama kira-kira 20 saat; bilas sepenuhnya.
  • 6. 6 To prevent germs causing toothache, brush your teeth every day, three times a day, or at a minimum morning and night: Brush for 3 minutes minimum. Use the right amount of pressure, not too hard or too soft, floss between your teeth, rinse with mouthwash. Untuk mengelakkan kuman yang menyebabkan sakit gigi, gosok gigi anda gigi setiap hari, tiga kali sehari, atau sekurang-kurangnya pagi dan malam: Berus selama 3 minit minimum.   • 7. 7 Keep your body clean! Wash every day in the shower or bath. Wash your feet, between your toes, on top and underneath, wash under your arms wash between your legs, front and behind. Basuh pakaian anda dengan sabun dan air apabila ia kotor, dalam mesin basuh atau dengan tangan. Basuh cadar dan selimut anda dengan kerap juga.
  • 10. 10 When you cough or sneeze make sure you cover your mouth with your hand or arm to stop spreading germs to other people. Use a tissue to blow your nose and always discard it afterwards in a bin or toilet. Apabila anda batuk atau bersin pastikan anda menutup mulut anda dengan tangan atau lengan anda untuk menghentikan penyebaran kuman kepada orang lain. Gunakan tisu untuk meniup hidung anda dan selalu buang selepas itu ke dalam tong sampah atau tandas.
  • 11. 11 Don't be a fool and use the three- second rule! Germs don't wait around for you, any food dropped on the floor can pick up germs immediately. While the longer a piece of food is on the floor, the more germs it will pick up, this doesn’t mean it won’t have germs after only a few seconds, if in doubt, throw it out! And keep the floor clean to prevent rodents and more germs. Jangan jadi bodoh dan gunakan peraturan tiga saat! Kuman tidak menunggu anda, apa-apa makanan yang terjatuh di atas lantai boleh mengambil kuman dengan segera. Walaupun lebih lama sekeping makanan berada di atas lantai, lebih banyak kuman ia akan mengumpul, ini tidak bermakna ia tidak akan mempunyai kuman selepas hanya beberapa saat, jika ragu-ragu, buangnya! Dan pastikan lantai bersih untuk mengelakkan tikus dan lebih banyak kuman.
  • 12. 12 Eat healthily so your body feels good: Eat healthy snacks like fruit, vegetables, or grains, instead of crisps and sweets. Try to eat five servings of fruits or vegetables every day. Drink water or juice instead of fizzy drinks. Try to drink one to two liters of water every day. Makan secara sihat supaya badan anda berasa sihat: Makan makanan ringan yang sihat seperti buah- buahan, sayur-sayuran atau bijirin, bukannya kerepek dan gula-gula. Cuba makan lima hidangan buah- buahan atau sayur-sayuran setiap hari. Minum air atau jus dan bukannya minuman bergas. Cuba minum satu hingga dua liter air setiap hari.
  • 13. 13 Exercise regularly: Play outside, walk, run, ride a bike, take up a sport, or do yoga. Exercise helps your body and mind function properly. Bersenam secara teratur: Bermain di luar, berjalan, berlari, menunggang basikal, melibatkan diri dalm sukan, atau melakukan yoga. Senaman membantu badan dan minda anda berfungsi dengan baik.
