  • 3. Objectives of the Branch
    • Arrange an annual programme of activities of a professional nature, including meetings, seminars, courses and debates
    • Arrange visits to works of engineering interest
    • Promote, develop and expand public perception of the role, duties and achievements of Civil Engineers
    • Promote civil engineering education in local universities, colleges and schools
  • 4. Attendance Certificates
    • Attendance certificates are available for ICE Essex Branch events.
    • Please indicate on the attendance sheet if you would like one.
    • Please note these are not CPD certificates. Attendance at events can count toward CPD – delegates should check their individual scheme requirement.

      • Create Sport Challenge is a FREE national competition
      • Aims to encourage young people into civil engineering
      • Promotes Science, Technology and Maths GSCE
      • Targets Year 8 students (12-13 year olds)
  • 12. President’s ‘Create Sport’ Project
      • Working with industry professionals and ICE ambassadors
      • Design community sports venue and build a scale model
      • Regional Final May 2011
      • Grand Final 20 June 2011
  • 13. President’s ‘Create Sport’ Project
      • 4 or 5 Schools from each county to take part
      • Need Ambassadors to mentor each school team
