The IEEE VBIT Student Branch was established in 2011 to promote technical awareness and development among students in technology fields. It conducts various technical and non-technical activities, including workshops and seminars, aimed at enhancing members' skills and motivations towards careers in computing. The chapter has achieved significant success with various awards and unique events like 'Codex' that test problem-solving skills through algorithms.

2. INTRODUCTION
Being successfully established on 16th July, 2011 in VBIT, of
Hyderabad Section with nearly 20 members and 2
professional members, IEEE- VBIT SB Computer Society has
been providing an excellent platform for the students to
persevere their interests in the field of technology.
The IEEE - VBIT SB , CS Chapter promotes technical
awareness amongst its college students and helps to cultivate
the same interest in the other colleges. The student Branch
emphasizes on conducting activities which can develop the
technical cognition of a student and also to foster leadership
skills.

An event which is being done in a unique way: CODEX
The students’ approach to problem solving is tested through
algorithms. The shortlisted candidates are given tasks.
On the whole, this event aids the students in analysing their
technical capabilities, programming skills and provides them
with a chance to improve further.
It has been successful in conducting this event for the past 3
years.
