• In 1914, Robert Baden-Powell started the Junior section for Scouts
that was called wolf-cubbing. Rudyard Kipling, who was a friend,
allowed for the use of a lot of themes from his “Jungle Book” for this.
• A is anyone who acts as a leader of the pack and is seen as a symbol
of “wisdom, authority, and leadership.” Cub scout packs also used to
have an oath called the “Law of the Pack” to show their allegiance to
the leader:

• B is a popular preparation made from leaves of the cannabis plant.
The drink is associated with Lord Shiva. The legend goes that Lord
Shiva once had a quarrel with his family and exhausted, took rest
under a leafy plant.
• When he woke up, he sampled the leaves of the plant and was so
delighted with it that gave the plant to mankind as a favour. For this
reason, he is also called the lord of B.

• O'Coqueiro is a famous dining place in Goa. If you visit its website,
you will read the following in its ‘About Us’ section:
• “O'Coqueiro. The restaurant that was famous long before C was
captured while dining here one evening. O'Coqueiro means the
Coconunt tree in Portuguese.”

• William Mark Felt Sr. (picture on next slide) was an FBI special agent
who was the whistle-blower on the famous Watergate scandal that
led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon.
• He was given a pseudonym D for his act of providing the secret
information, something which famous in 1972 in an entirely different
context.

• E was first synthesised by Merck chemist Anton Kollisch. Its chemical
name is 3,4-methylenedioxy-methamphetamine and hence it is
officially called MDMA.
• E is also known by a 3 letter name where each letter is pronounced in
isolation (ABC – Ay Bee See) and the result is the same sound as the
name E.
• As an emotion, E is a trance or trance-like state in which a person
transcends normal consciousness. In philosophy, E is a term used to
mean outside itself.

• G journalism is a style of journalism that is written without claims of
objectivity, often including the reporter as part of the story via a first-
person narrative. The word “G” is believed to have been first used in
1970 to describe an article by Hunter S. Thompson, who later
popularized the style.

• The ancient Romans, on the authority of Pliny the Elder, favored raw owl's
eggs or fried canary, while the "prairie oyster" restorative, introduced at
the 1878 Paris World Exposition, calls for raw egg yolk mixed with

• I was born in New Jersey in the 1850s. She followed a career in opera
as a contralto, performing at La Scala in Milan, Italy, and a term as
prima donna in the Imperial Opera of Warsaw, Poland, indicating that
she was a talented singer. It was there that she became the lover of
Wilhelm Gottsreich Sigismond von Ormstein, Grand Duke of Cassel-
Felstein and King of Bohemia, who was staying in Warsaw for a
period. The King describes her as "a well-known adventuress" (a term
widely used at the time in ambiguous association with "courtesan")
and also says that she had "the face of the most beautiful of women
and the mind of the most resolute of men". The King eventually
returned to his court in Prague. I, then in her late twenties, retired
from the opera stage and moved to London.

• “Indian Muslims themselves recognise two main social divisions, (1)

Hindus. All other Mahomedans, including the occupational groups,

• X is a an aromatic hydrocarbon mixture consisting of a benzene ring
with two methyl groups at various substituted positions. Generally
used with benzene and toluene, this finds its use as a solvent in many
industries and is popularly used as a paint thinner.
• Widely used as an inhalant, X is widely popular among the poor and
homeless in India because of its easy availability.

• Y was an American television with hosts Wilmer Valderrama, along
with Sam Sarpong (Seasons 1 and 2), Jason Everhart and Destiny
Lightsy and ran from 2006 to 2007. Its episodes featured guest
appearances from rappers.
• There were three seasons of the show: Los Angeles, New York City,
and Atlanta. What was Y, a show with a strong feature of insults a
version of which is very common in India too.

Z
• Z is a firm that claims its scientists “extract the essential oils of the
marijuana plant in a contaminant-free environment” and while
“everyone experiences cannabis individually, Z is about having a good
time without feeling uncomfortably stoned.”
• The tagline of the organization is “Premium Cannabis Infusions” and
its products are Z-drops, Z-rocks, Z-blast, and Z-bites.
• Forbes claims that Z cannabis edibles use their ads to help change the
image of pot.
• Z (singular) was originally a style of clothing popular in 1930s and
1940s.
