This document outlines two models for instructional design: the linear model and the Wheeler model. The linear model progresses sequentially from selecting aims to organizing content to evaluating learning outcomes. The Wheeler model organizes the instructional design process into four main components: selection of content, organization of content and learning experiences, selection of learning experiences, and evaluation.
