This document outlines an agenda for an in-house training at Seattle Girls' School on supporting gender diversity. The agenda includes stories of children's experiences, defining gender-related vocabulary, unpacking concepts of gender, discussing cisgender privilege, and using an open space discussion format. Participants discuss how the school can better support students whose gender identity may not fit into binary categories and reflect on how to make the school more gender inclusive. Next steps identified are further professional development, auditing school policies and practices, and identifying inclusion goals in accreditation.

Sam Killerman – BUT acknowledge that this work was initially done by trans people first!!!
Jennifer Bryan’s analogy on finches. All of these are defined as finches, yet why do we feel the need to limit gender to a binary? Gender can be multifaceted and we are still ultimately people.
