What is a Voki?
A voki is a talking avatar/cartoon of oneself.
Allows someone to communicate with voice but through an animated character, which they create.

How can I use Voki?
Short speaking assessment
Spice up a blog, web page or wiki.
Communicate with students outside of the classroom.

Practicing and listening to speech
Alternative assessment….
(Example: Students can create an avatar that resembles a character from a story, add a setting and give it speech.)

How do I create a Voki?
Create your own Voki account at www.voki.com .
a.) Register (top right). b.) Fill in the required information. c.)You need an email account to confirm your registration . An activation email will be sent to the email address used.

2. Login to the Voki site .
3. Create a new Voki. * Customize your character. * Give it a Voice. * Choose a Background. * Pick a Player color. * Publish it to email or get code to put it on a website, wiki or blog.
