TrendspottingLA was started by Kerstin Hamann, a European entrepreneur who knows the right people in different sectors of the fashion and lifestyle marketplace.
Having lived in Europe, New York and Los Angeles, she has a broad base of international marketing/PR experience on the agency and company level. In Germany, she managed numerous marketing communications activities for a wide range of European fashion and lifestyle companies, e.g, Pommery Champagne, BMW Formula 1 and Bauer Publishing.
Prior to founding TrendspottingLA, Kerstin worked at Playboy in New York, s upported one of New York’s top multi-line showrooms representing high-fashion brands and was a communications executive with the fashion house Capelli New York.
Now based in Los Angeles and tied into an extensive fashion and entertainment network, she offers up-and-coming and established fashion brands an effective but lean solution to increase brand awareness and propel sales.

E vent organization, pre and post show public relations, securing show sponsors and initiating design collaboration with up-and-coming shoe brand, LD Tuttle.
Implemented public relations campaign for avant-garde women's wear brand, Koi Suwannagate. As a result, the designer was nominated for the prestigious CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award, staged runway shows at New York Fashion Week, collaborated with Swarovski and Manolo Blahnik and was named one of WWD's Top Ten Spring 2009 Collections.
Handled all customer service with Barneys New York, Nordstrom, Takashimaya and Harvey Nichols, among many other stores, and coordinated with the NY-based showroom.
Introduced emerging European fashion designer Anna Fuchs to the U.S. market and handled all marketing activities, media relations and sales. The designer was nominated for the FGI Rising Star Award.
Initiated, pitched and promoted 8-page fashion feature with Zac Posen for the niche lifestyle magazine Plum.

In February 2009, designer to watch and Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation winner, Matthew Ames, made his New York Fashion Week runway debut.
TrendspottingLA successfully produced the F/W 2009 Matthew Ames fashion show. Over 200 editors and stylists from Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, InStyle, Glamour, The Daily, W, WWD, Style.com, Surface and The New York Times, among many others, were in attendance.
The project included event organization, pre and post show public relations, coordinating with front-of-house agency for top attendance, securing show sponsors such as Shiseido and Bumble and Bumble, and initiating a design collaboration with up-and-coming shoe brand LD Tuttle.
For additional exposure, TrendspottingLA reached out to prominent celebrities such as Isabella Rossellini, Erykah Badu, Michelle Williams, Liv Tyler, Lauryn Hill and Julianne Moore.
TrendspottingLA initiated designer features and secured prominent placement in WWD, W, Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, InStyle and Marie Claire, and on Style.com, Daily Candy and NBC television, among others.
For additional exposure, the collection was introduced to prominent celebrity stylists, actresses and socialites including Gretchen Mol, Patricia Arquette, Kate Hudson, Christina Ricci, Kim Basinger and Lisa Airan.
TrendspottingLA developed and created the brand's portfolio for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award. Koi was one of the award's top ten finalists, along with Phillip Lim, Rogan, Erin Fetherston and Vena Cava, and received tremendous press coverage and a double-page spread in Vogue.
