1. Let the right one in was the first to be released between the two films. It is a Swedish
psychological film which was released in 2008 by Tomas Alfredson. The film had one
63 awards and had a BAFTA nomination. The prompted the recreation of the 2010
British-American horror film ‘Let Me In’ which was directed by Matt Reeves. The
setting was set in America and had the same approach as the first film. Both films use
the storyline of the original novel which was created by John Ajvide Lindqvist in 2004.
