a tape recorder.
If the students had an Individualized Education Plan
(IEP), the use of assistive technology will be annotated
in their plan.
7. If a child has a learning disability (LD), AT can be helpful, but once
the child learn the current task, the AT should be no longer needed
or it will hinder the child from further success.
Technology in the classroom can allow for cyber-
bullying, computer viruses, high distance course dropout rates, and
the digital divide (Roblyer & Doering, 2013).

AT is not to take place of the teacher, only as an aide to help the
children.
AT has advantages & disadvantages so a teacher/parent needs to be
aware of what type of AT a child is using especially if it is computer
programs.
AT can be used for special education children as well as children in
regular classes.
